There is no hope - shit's fucked up beyond all repair.
The only thing we can do is ignore anything by Disney and enjoy the old stuff.

I actually love Clone Wars too but Filoni is such a fanboy. Im also pissed at his fucking half assed job with Rebels how do you go from something like Clone Wars to fucking Rebels? I mean its a good kids show but they try to make it like a continuation of Clone Wars so I expect clone wars tier writing.

I remember people saying Rebels was being intentionally neutered by Disney because it was on Disney XD and they weren't willing to give Filoni and his staff the freedom to write what they wanted. But that was just a rumor, I don't think there's much evidence to support it.

Clone Wars should have been an Adult Swim show… Would have made it even better, honestly. Never watched Rebels but I heard they went back to the Clone Wars pilot episode in terms of childishness and such.

I think its mostly the budget but seriously it is literally the same people from TCW working on rebels. I think its laziness they dont need to try they get that sweet sweet Disney money

I think there is plenty of evidence to support it, considering that was also what gave The Clone Wars such a rocky start.

Yet even early clone wars had better episodes than all of Rebels. I want to blame Disney but that's too easy since the writing has taken a dive too when it's the same people behind it.

Value of the brand drops below a certain point in a couple of years, Disney desperate to sell it off. George buys Lucasfilm back and redeems himself by retconning the Disney stuff out of existence. Disney will falter and collapse, falling into a downward spiral that will see them fracture and the properties they have acquired scattered. A good part of what makes those two so fun to read in comparison is how they both get how to write Imperials and badduns in general. Everyone is given understandable motives, and can even be sympathetic, while still being the clear antagonists. Also, "evil as the underdog" plots are usually more compelling than the alternative.
