It'd be pretty stupid to just dispense with an easy source of merchandise prostitution like Boba Fett. I think they killed off Han in TFA partly because Harrison Ford is growing so old, but they've never shown Boba Fett unmasked. You can easily have him modeled using some vaguely kiwi dude and handwave differences in appearance from Jango's actor as an imperfection in creating a non-standard clone.

I feel sort of ambiguous about new Fett and Mandalorian things, though. Everything since Clone Wars has been pretty hit or miss, not that I support Karen Traviss' Fandalorian lore myself.

There are many episodes in Clone Wars of Boba Fett running around. I doubt its about the character rather than it is that everyone in Disney can't make a strong male character anymore. It's just not possible for them as writers, I havn't seen one in anything they've been making.

This. I don't care what Disney's shit canon is. I still consider The Bounty Hunter Wars novels to be the true canon when it comes to post-Sarlaac Fett.
