I just ignore it. Mandalorians didn't joined the Rebellion, which didn't done shit before Yavin (it was in the fucking opening crawl of first SW. "have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire".) Thrawn was in the unknow regions until after Endor.

That looks like Thrawn's outfit he was using in some of the comics explaining how he became involved with the Galactic Empire between Outbound Flight and Heir to the Empire.

Perhaps teasing flashbacks reviving some of those stories? I can hope.

Obi-Wan's voice is probably gonna sound wrong, though.

Well they've had "Sentry Droids" as knock off Dark Troopers…

They're not as good, but four of them were able to drive off Ezra and Zeb from an abandoned Imperial Cargo Ship, so Thrawn using at least two as sparing partners is rather impressive.
