Whatever happened to this guy? Apart from a few mentions when writers remembered he existed he was all but forgotten.

he's gowrons puppet, can't really do much of relevance

i am curious what happened to him after gowrons death though, did he stay as martoks puppet?

I'd expect he'd be more the spiritual leige figure sort of how Britbongistan Democracy works with the Monarchy. He's there to show spiritual guidance to the people while others more qualified run the Empire.

>he's gowrons puppet

Gowron is dead, and Martok is emperor. And while I like Martok, Gowron had the best mad emperor eyes ever.

>>963

>I'd expect he'd be more the spiritual leige figure sort of how Britbongistan Democracy works with the Monarchy.

That's how they arranged it, but the fact is that he's the Klingon Jesus (or Buddha, if you prefer) and having him come back just to laze around a castle being pissed that he's a clone sounds like trouble just waiting to happen. I assume Gowron had him quietly dealt with before he got ideas above his station.

Thinking back to that episode, I'm always amused how Worf, if he was a black human, would be the type of cunt to visit Africa, dress in tribal shit, and start asking if anyone wanted to join him on a lion hunt with spears. Then he'd start beating a drum or something until the local Ubuntu tribe beat the shit out of him with lead pipes. Worf was one of those "I want to find myself!" types who never think to stop for a minute and look in the mirror.

That was some shit writing, too. Gowron was the Federation's preferred (and carefully installed) candidate for Chancellor until the fanbase got all squishy for Martok, then he was suddenly "insane."

Martok was awesome, but they should have let Gowron die like a proper warrior instead of that bullshit.

>Fucking body-controlling bugs that sent off a message to their home planet in the first season finale

I suppose they might have sent a message saying something along the lines of "we were found out, never mind earth it's not worth the trouble."

>You can't zoom around at Warp 9 without tearing the fabric of spacetime another dozen assholes

that was after repeated exposure, usually hundreds of ships moving over the same area (space is a big place). voyager was also supposed to have a warp drive advanced enough to avoid damaging subspace at speeds up to warp 4 or something. it's kinda like global warming, if there was any danger posed from human pollution, we already took steps, but that's never enough for some faggots.

>Neelix needs Borg nanos or his body dies again

he was waiting for voyager's next call when they finally made it back home, so he probably went looking for them and got sliced to ribbons by the borg.

I'm sure there were a few books about gomtuu.

Would have made a great post-Voyager series.

>Space-time is borked

>Nobody dares use warp drive anymore

>Except species like the Borg who routinely have ships torn apart

>Federation is in shambles

>Series revolves around a prototype federation (really just Earth at this point) ship that has a new hyperdrive or other FTL travel method as they try to regain contact between various planets

>Can have episodes about exploring the various spacial anomalies and others about the inevitable inter/intra-species conflicts.

has potential, anyway.

>he fucked up the empire a wee bit, but it's not like it was going anywhere good either way

That was faggotry in DS9. Gowron in TNG was a good chancellor and an honorable Klingon.

>>979

>Martok was awesome

Martok was a caricature. The consistent trait of Klingons since TOS is cunning. Chang was the best Klingon because he was subtle but still incorporated all their qualities - intelligence, ferocity, love of war. Gowron was good becaus he was Klingon but even among Klingons you could tell he was a little crazy, yet he was still cunning. Martok is just a stock Dwarf character. He’s pretty artless.

>>Moriarty and his girlfriend would eventually figure it out and escape

Forget them escaping, they never bothered to tell us if Moriarty's holo-box even survived the Enterprise-D going kaput.

>>8439

Couldn't they just use Krieger waves, or whatever it they were called? The spess-ripples that could send any object through space at Warp speed and were discarded after a single TNG murder mystery?

>>16158

My best guess would be actress asked for more shekels and producers said no.

3d1dc5 (1) No.18506>>18508

>>12487

I think Martok was refreshing, a bit of a matter of how Worf's perspective on what makes Klingons Klingons is for once truly justified, a character that really fits the mold of an honourable soldier as opposed to the conniving politicians and backstabbing braggarts we've consistantly seen before him. That's the most important factor too, his relationship with Worf, he provides a real father figure to him, he proves something contrary to Worf's experiences and shows the viewers that stereotypes do have a basis somewhere and it's not just Worf being a klingaboo.

73dc0b (2) No.18508>>18510 >>18546

>>18506

>Worf's perspective on what makes Klingons Klingons is for once truly justified

Worf's perspective on what makes Klingons Klingon is still warped all to hell, and he'll never be half the man Martok is.When Gowron chose to invade Cardassia, what did Worf do?

>got his brother kicked off the High Council. Betraying a family member is without honor.

>Had the entire House of Mogh stripped of lands, deeds, and prestige, once again insulting the memory of the father that he tried so hard to restore

>Refused to do battle for the probable good of the entire Alpha Quadrant, which is without honor

>personally insulted a High Chancellor who had already given him more than a little leeway

>With said insult soured Federation-Klingon relations even further.

This is the real big one, if you ask me. He betrayed not only the Empire but also the Feds he supposedly owed loyalty. Worf's "honorabru" decision was anything but, and a purely selfish action on his part. He just wanted to stay at his cushy Federation post, where he could LARP as a Klingon and pretend to have such unyielding honor--as long as it didn't threaten his own comfort. If Worf was REALLY honorable, he would have swallowed his pride and accepted Gowron's offer. Even if he had personal reservations, he would agree for the sake of his brother's honor, his House's honor, and Gowron's honor. Throwing all that away in favor of his own principles is NOT honorable, it's being a selfish, entitled pissant.

Worf could have saved face with Klingons and Federation by simply stating his duty. He could have just applied the simple logic he is in the best position to expose a possible changeling infiltration in either the Klingon Empire or Federation and while he would love to come he must remain in a position where he can take action.

>Hey Gowron buddy I can't come even though I'd love to

>You know those Changelings? I think they are behind shit and I am better off hunting them down.

>I will give you my support of my House in meantime, get a few spoonheads for me

Sad part of this it would turn out to be true. There are Changelings in the Federation and Klingon Empire.
