It was the one with the African aliens. Everyone was hypersensitive to that episode, then they all piss and moan about how all the aliens are basically the same and all white people in make-up.

I agree. She sucks now, but wasn't too bad during the show. Plus she always had the benefit of being a foxy redhead.

She directed the episode where Crusher injected people with the T-virus which turned the crew into spiders and dinosaurs and she never really recovered from it.

>>8961

Code of Honor, it's like all the way back in Season 1. Basically it had Arab Africans with a cuckoldry based society. Apparently the first director threw KFC and watermelons at the guest stars for the story or something, everyone flipped out and he got shitcanned. Half the cast whines about this one unprompted when, while it is still bad as it is a non-Farpoint and non-Conspiracy Season 1 episode there's far worse shit like Sub Rosa that gets a pass by some of them because of sex.

96bb4f No.8977

>>8969

It isn’t actually a bad episode. In look and premise it’s almost exactly like Amok Time, one of the most popular episodes ever.

What they did was try to make it more progressive by having a female character do the combat and having it be an african-inspired culture.

They had episodes of the original series with Viking Giants who use boomerangs which are similar to this. The people in a lather about this episode are people who want to be in a lather about things.

b3c3f9 No.9186

The hatred of that episode is almost entirely an insider thing. They're making a mistake when they talk about it publicly because it just confuses normal people. It's objectively neither particularly bad (by Season 1 standards) nor particularly racist. It is, however, extremely embarrassing to the cast and production staff for entirely what-do-i-say-to-my-black-friends tier cucked-out political reasons.

Well, it's not GREAT but it's at least watchable, I'll give you that much. I did have a fairly minimal amount of Wesley in it from what I recall which did help in that regard. The ending seemed a little rushed. At least it isn't The Neutral Zone.

>She directed the episode where Crusher injected people with the T-virus which turned the crew into spiders and dinosaurs

I've always really liked this episode, I don't know why it gets hate from time to time. I find it very enjoyable, especially around this time of year because of the element of horror in the episode. I don't really like horror movies in general since most of them are either packed with an unnecessary amount of gore, or throw out too many cheap jump-scares. So watching the more eerie, unnerving, and generally frightening Trek episodes from the various shows have been a fun substitute for me for several years.

And as far as McFadden's involvement in the episode I think she did a pretty good job since, as I said, I enjoy the episode. Also, I love the scene where she's examining Worf and he spits the acid in her face. That horrifying scream she lets out always sticks in my mind when thinking about that episode, and I think it's one of the better performances she gave in TNG.

31753a No.9260

>>9256

It’s just so dumb. It’s not her fault; the directors never picked what episodes they’d direct. It was all just next in line.

I’ll give you the only creepy part is when Barclay had morphed into a spider-thing and they find him in engineering. The rest of it is fucking stupid. The XenoWorph wants AquaTroi pheremones? Picard is a lemur? Spot is an Iguana with kittens?

And the ending is Troi and Crusher musing that Barclay was a spider, when -newsflash- the whole fucking crew had devolved.

2baf4f No.9270

>>9256

I have to agree, this episode gets a lot of undeserved hate. The only thing that bothers me is Picard's fucked up crossbow.

All ligonians must fucking hang

629af0 No.10668

Im going to fix the episode.

The crew is studying weird random nebula assturd 7. Assturd 7 emits astrange pulse that causes the replicators to malfunction on the ship. This causes the t virus to instead of just turning on a random gene it appends random dna along the sequenced dna they have on file of animals to the crew members.

Picard and data return after 5 weeks at conferences as the enterprise is deep inside this cloud studying it. Giving the crew enough time to meta-morph. and eat each other.

Logic fixed.

Something that jumped out at me:

>We have our OWN transporter technology

Then in the holodeck:

>No being of mere light could injure ME

When it was stated that the holodeck uses parts of transporter technology. Even if they hadn't mentioned that, it is bizarre that the culture had one technology but was completely incredulous of the other.

The nigger is a beast of burden, and as such tends to have more innate physical strength on average. However they are brutes that lack true swoleness. They care not about being swole nor having a swole life nor cultivating a swole mindset. They are but dumb beasts.
