Shit I might be wrong on that now that I think about it. Maybe once or twice for non beardo version, but I'm guessing the number of offers grew when the beard grew out.

With. TVTropes has an entire fucking category devoted to "Growing the Beard." I mean, that's totally fucking gay, but it backs up what I'm saying, so let's roll with it.

Beardless Riker gave zero mustache rides. Bearded Riker had Deanna and her mother sit on his face for the remainder of the series.

I forget where I heard this, but the story went… Avery Brooks wanted to have his head shaved in the early seasons as he felt awkward and unable to act with it, once he shaved his head in the later seasons, he claims the anxiety melted away and he put on a "better" performance.

The latter, surely. He looks like a complete doofus without those specular highlights.

Sounds pretty typical for Brooks.

Eh, this was a dumb question. I thought Riker got the beard after season 3 or thereabouts, but it was actually between 1 and 2 apparently, so there wasn't much opportunity for that to happen. He got one: The USS Drake.

Facial hair being a sign of wisdom and strength is exactly why beta numale types grow them, they lack wisdom and strength in any capacity so they grow beards to try to make up for it.

Avery Brooks went on tv shilling DS9 with an African tribal hat, a turtle neck, a blingy vest, jeans, and cowboy boots. What other Trek actor could pull this wardrobe off?

Funny you mention that, a friend of a friend that was a black guy with schizophrenia recently blew his brains out, I'd met him on a few occasions and his behavior shared some resemblance to Avery Brooks'. Mostly just being dreamy and talking shit nobody else could follow, he'd done a bunch of lsd and mushrooms and fucked his dindu noggin' up. Psychedelics always seem to mess blacks up more than whites, the lack of folds in their brains concentrates the drugs' effects on more specific regions, and their minds can't handle it.

Lean means tussin now? This is the first I've heard of it. Lean used to refer to prescription cough syrup containing codiene and promethazine. The promethazine makes it particularly sedating, often causing "the dope fiend lean." Which is an extreme form of "nodding."
