for survival purposes, it still keeps you warm

for aesthetic purposes it hides the imperfections of the body, forcing witnesses to use their imagination to see what they want to see, so in some cases the clothing can be better looking than the reality beneath it

I force them to wear clothing to make them uncomfortable. That way they don't forget that I control them and that I don't care about the mewlings of objects if they protest - not that many do, mind you.

It's a peculiarity in human custom that females are considered more attractive the MORE clothes they wear. A woman is never more beautiful than when she's in her wedding dress, which is the most clothing she'll ever wear in her life discounting a possible trip to Antarctica.

To contrast, men are accepted to be more attractive the LESS they wear. They are also more physically capable of surviving unprotected.

So if anything the men should be the naked ones.
