I need to make a case then for liberal nationalism. The case for liberal nationalism is that you get to control who is a citizen without dispossessing existing citizens for being the wrong kind.

You do that shit, and you might as well just reduce your position down to "I want a civil war in which millions die".

Physically removing people based on their culture or race isn't going to fly. Ethnonationalism is too extreme and most civic nationalists still want to do things like ban the burqa damaging the integrity of internal liberalism.

You can get away with immigration control if you shift things a little and show the absurdity of the open borders position, but if you go into further shit like removing equal rights from domestic minorities, you are asking for massive unrest.

When did dispossessing existing citizens even come up? A policy on immigration control that has ethnic majoritarianism in mind is far removed from deporting the ethnic minorities already here.

The problem is that if you try to apply even light forms of ethnic nationalism, you awaken and enable the people who want to kick them all/gas them.

Best to keep ethnicity, and race out of it all together and just focus on civic concepts like "Muslims don't share our culture", and "There are too many!". You need to create unity of all races within your country against those bringing in toxic political ideologies. If you instead say you aren't letting in more brown people, the brown people in your country start to feel like they're next.

I think there's a meaningful difference between "that will cause a civil war in which millions die" and "that might awaken and enable the people whose policies would if enacted lead to a civil war in which millions die".

I mean, if neo-Nazis have so much "sleeping giant" potential that as soon as you "enable" them you may as well have enacted their policies, shouldn't that also make them powerful enough that we can just gas the spics and go home without facing a full-on civil war?

I'm not actually recommending any demographic get sent to death camps, I'm just pointing out that the people who do want that are either really powerful (in which case, no civil war) or they're not (in which case, who cares if we "awaken and enable" them, we're not enacting their policies).

I didn't say they were already extinct in Brazil, but those demographics make extinction inevitable over the long term, because of how few non-white ancestors it takes to make redhead children vanishingly unlikely.

I mean, I suppose in that kind of long-term we start thinking about genetic engineering, but that's a whole different kettle of fish.
