I need to make a case then for liberal nationalism. The case for liberal nationalism is that you get to control who is a citizen without dispossessing existing citizens for being the wrong kind.
You do that shit, and you might as well just reduce your position down to "I want a civil war in which millions die".
Physically removing people based on their culture or race isn't going to fly. Ethnonationalism is too extreme and most civic nationalists still want to do things like ban the burqa damaging the integrity of internal liberalism.
You can get away with immigration control if you shift things a little and show the absurdity of the open borders position, but if you go into further shit like removing equal rights from domestic minorities, you are asking for massive unrest.
