Euthanasia might be the best option at some point even if the patient is not to blame for the disease.

Interested in hearing alternatives that aren't pretty much the same thing but over a long period of time and unnecesary suffering.

Consider the resulting survivor's guilt (or other forms of guilt) in literally every other human being, the knowledge of living in a global society that solves problems by genocide, international political turmoil etc.

I'm not sure the side effects are worth it.
