Discuss the future of the board in this thread. I'll start.
We should keep this place around. Every so often, someone complains about the commenting system on SSC/reddit/whatever and suggests a rationalist forum. This seems like a good place to point them, because I happen to think 8chan has about the best UI for a forum ever devised. Naturally, we should only have *one* fileboard, because even with just this one we have the lowly traffic of, what, 3 users?
The only problem besides low traffic is downtime, because 8chan is built on a rickety pile of toothpicks or something. If we ever want to fix this problem (or navigate away from 8chan for other reasons) I recommend we move to NTTPchan, to remove the "single point of failure" problem. Plus, how cozy would it be to host your own NTTPchan node for the good of the ratosphere? Pretty cozy.

I'd like to remind everyone that /ratanon/ scales very well for small numbers, in the sense that 3 posts on /ratanon/ produce roughly the same utility regardless of the time in between them. If that's three a day, that means I'll check /ratanon/ daily; if three a week, weekly, etc.
In all things I advise quality over quantity; I can get shit anywhere, getting something undilutedly *good* on the internet is special.
