"rationalism"

Wow…

I wonder if it would be of any use to write how to lose weight here…

You don't diet and exercise to reduce calorie intake and augment calorie use… You change your diet (Doesn't necessarily means you eat less) and exercise (Or cheat your body somehow) precisely to make yourself start burning fat and intake to build muscle. A lot of people fail to understand this properly and go do some exercise, tear down their shitty underused muscles and the body doesn't even cares and keeps gaining fat… Its more about becoming an always physically active person, and more importantly, "conscious" of your own body… No wonder your organism can't direct the food to the muscles if you abandoned the use of those muscles years ago, do they even exist in your inner metabolic homunculus?

I suggest doing interesting exercises that actually involve using your body to do shit instead of repeatedly lifting metal etc.

Metabolic disprivilege rotflmao. The process adequately done takes years. Drastic changes are bad idea. Starving yourself kind of diets are just stupid.

This all stops being useful at a certain point but by looking at pictures Yudkowsky is nowhere near that.

If you don't adress the underlying issues surgery isn't going to be that great anyway.

Anyone remembers this study that talked about how talking or thinking about some specific motion like a fine motor skill test actually impaired performance in said test?

That's a whole lot of fluff for "I don't wanna exercise and I like food!"
