Because egoism doesn't make sense for anybody with a broad enough perspective to see themselves like the pieces in some kind of superorganism they are. If you can't then why the fuck not try to make, find or modify one you like? Because superorganisms themselves are part of bigger superorganisms… Not advocating complete selflessness either, if you get fucked you have to cause pain, but never cancer. Being too selfless is just as bad.

Even if you reject the idea of superorganism, what to do if you are an egoist anyway? It still is a complicated balancing of "sub-organisms" within yourself. So yes, "superorganisms" including yourself should have a healthy dose of egoism but nothing cancerous.

Bitch I AM an abstract idea. This human body is just a vessel that I use to survive.

There were a number of gene protection safeties lurking around in the subconscious but I think I've mostly disabled them all at this point.

Of course, I intend to use the reproductive process to perpetuate myself, so it's possible that some of the safeties are still active but that they're at peace with my plan, and have decided to let me go on my way, for now.
