Not sure if they're in Or./Was. Search for "day labor" in your area.

I did some work with them in Asheville NC area. It's not a final destination, but awesome for getting to where work is being done. They get you to the job if you can get to their office. In Asheville they cut a check every day. Only requirement is proof for eligible to work(DL&SSN card usually), and mebbe steel-toe boots(provided for 1st week here). Use them to find who needs help and likes your hussle. Was 20 days "wait for full hire" here, but may differ state to state. Find a day labor outfit in your area and use it for networking to full-time if needed. If my current gig blew up I wouldn't hesitate to day labor to get by until I found something else… You can audition for a new potential employer every day.
