When listening to Day 4 of Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, I was surprised to hear Ted Olson provide testimony on behalf of Kavanaugh. Ted Olson was GW Bush’s Solicitor General during his first term. His wife, Barbara Olson, was a popular talking-head during the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal, who died on the hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 that “allegedly” flew into the Pentagon. She was flying to be a guest on Bill Maher’s Television show Politically Incorrect – that fact I now find a little strange thanks to Q (?).
Using her cell phone, she famously called her husband during the hijacking. When it was pointed out that cell connections were impossible in 2001, Ted revised his story saying Barbara used the plane’s phone. When it was pointed out that her plane was not equipped with phones, the story died with no follow-up. [A video worth watching: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGB9A4ODmFo]
Soon thereafter, Ted left public life, remarried within a year, and – I thought – moved to the UK. Therefore, having him resurface on the eve of the anniversary of 911, I found peculiar.
