AvTech Services, a Kent-based company that specializes in aircraft recovery and hauling, boarded a ferry to the crash scene Sunday morning. AvTech has previously worked in aircraft accident investigations with the NTSB and the FAA.

Robert (Bob) Lewis HANCOCK Age 83, passed in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Born November 29, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Son of Marjorie & Harvey Hancock. Grew up in Salt Lake City and later in Los Angeles CA. Wed to Audrey Shaw Lunn in Seattle Washington, March 28, 1951. Bob attended Hollywood High in Los Angeles, CA. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1949 following a two- year interruption during World War II when he served in the US Navy.
After graduation, he worked for the Boeing Airplane Company, where his first assign ment was on the B-47 aircraft program. In 1953 he joined United Control Corporation where he held positions of chief engineer and sales manager.
In 1963, Bob founded and became president of AVTECH Corpora tion, a leading supplier of specialized avionics.
The company holds many engineering design "firsts," including: the world's first fully dimmable fluorescent ballast, digital signal processing audio system and airborne facsimile machine. AVTECH grew and prospered under Bob's leadership to an organization with over 350 employees. In 1998 he retired and sold the business to DeCrane Aircraft Holdings.
Bob was a member of the Univer sity Rotary Club (Seattle), and has served on the Advisory Council for the Small Business Administration (Washington, D.C.), the Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank (San Francisco), as chairman of the Washington Council of the American Electronics Associa tion and as a board member of Northwest Hospital (Seattle).
Bob was also a member of the Owls Nest Camp at the Bohemian Club (San Francisco).
In May, 1999, Bob & Audrey established The Marjorie Lewis Endowment Fund for Community Health at Northwest Hospital providing support for Northwest Hospital's work to promote community health.
Bob loved playing golf at Sand Point Country Club, challenging his son, Brian, to marathon dominos, watching football and following his grandson's career playing baseball.
Bob is survived by his spouse, Audrey Hancock (Seattle, Washington) and his children, David Hancock & his wife, Patricia Olson (Portland, Oreg on), Mary White and Brian Hancock (Seattle, Washington). His grandchildren are, Sean White & his wife Kelli (Seattle, Washington), Ryan White (Beijing, China) and Jake Olson (Portland, Oregon). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010
