Why would Mark Zuckerberg get in bed with the feds? Because he had already been in trouble for building an algorithm that could do what the LifeLog Project was attempting to do. By collaborating they were able to do so much more than by themselves.

Facebook probably was a CIA project since from the beginning. What I mean by that, the whole story about, how it was programmed by Zuckerberg in a garage and so on was probably just a cover story.

The information gathering bonanza in the Pentagon -> Highland Forum -> In-Q-Tel started earlier with Google.

They knew exactly what FB was supposed to become: a giant data gathering machine, just like Google.
