When you can’t launder your money through the usual channels... light a few fires and make sure your minions “donate” millions to the cause via the Red Cross. Seems a bit sus to me

ausanon here. Every shop, online service, cafe etc all collecting donations, all sorts of stuff. I feel weird about it. Insurance used to pay for the fire service, right? but now private insurance isn't covering, govt failed to, we'll probably get an extra tax to cover it, but we are guilted into paying out of pocket at every opportunity?

I don't disagree with the need, but like I say, it feels weird. Same sort of guilt as when a homeless asks for money...
