NOT MEANT TO ENDORSE ANY CANDIDATE
Just meant to bring attention to this issue of Modern Slavery.
aka: "Don't Shoot The Messenger"
> Where do Democratic presidential candidates stand on the H-1B scandal? Most are not positioned to win middle class voters - some favor dramatically expanding the program, others are woefully ignorant of abuse, and some are simply silent.
> Bernie Sanders is the lone exception. He's the only candidate who has taken positions to fix the H-1B program and spoken out against its exploitation.
> This is surprising since all the Democrats claim to have a pro-worker platform. Any pro-worker candidate is aware that the H-1B program is being widely abused since it allows employers import cheap indentured guestworkers. This harms U.S. and foreign workers alike and it severely and adversely distorts both the labor and education markets. Unsurprisingly, employers love the cheap "hassle free" labor, and to keep it flowing, shower politicians with lobbying, contributions, and propaganda.
> Even though dozens of H-1B scandals have been exposed in major media - the most egregious cases are when U.S. workers are forced to train their H-1B replacements - most Democratic politicians have turned a blind eye.
> Let's take a quick look at each of the candidates:
> The Cheap Labor Champions
> Mayor Michael Bloomberg has been outspoken in his public calls for “limitless” numbers of H-1Bs and has spread false propaganda through his funding of the Partnership for a New American Economy. PNAE's propaganda is contradicted by his own news organization's years long coverage of H-1B scandals. See e.g., Bloomberg-Businessweek's cover story "America's High-tech Sweatshops". Mayor Bloomberg loves to say, "In God we trust, everyone else bring data," to claim he takes an evidence-based approach to policymaking. When it comes to H-1Bs, Bloomberg obviously has more than a God-Complex. He should spend a little more time reading news being generated by his own company.

> Senator Amy Klobuchar cosponsored I-Squared bill to triple number of H-1Bs and no reform. The bill, championed by deep pocket interests (including Mayor Bloomberg) would displace and undercut hundreds of thousands more US workers. Senator Klobuchar cannot profess ignorance of rampant H-1B exploitation since she serves on the Senate Judiciary committee and heard firsthand from U.S. Disney workers who testified they were forced to train their H-1B replacements.
IEEE-USA an engineering professional organization representing U.S. members said Klobuchar's bill would help destroy the U.S. Tech workforce.

> The Lone Pro-Worker Candidate
> Senator Bernie Sanders has cosponsored bipartisan H-1B reform that would boost wages for both US and foreign workers and uphold the integrity of the labor market. He has spoken on Senate floor about the unfairness of the program and even called out the Disney scandal during a campaign rally in Anaheim in 2016.
