if there's a surge of patriots that rise again like that in 1916 then no we're fine we want to be the masters of our own destiny but seeming as most of the great men from that time died early due to executions of 16 , war of independence and the civil war then I somewhat consider we need an Anglo-Gaelic alliance to protect both of our homelands from the coming waves. Nationalist Party and Irish Freedom Party ran candidates many constituencies, but got what, 0.2% and 0.3% of first preference votes? Milquetoast conservative party Renua made no impression, and even pro-family but open borders Aontú just got their ex-Sinn Féin leader re-elected.
I do read that fellow pro-life ex-SF Independent Carol Nolan won her race, and one Fine Gael candidate who criticized asylum seekers, Verona Murphy, defied odds and won. http://archive.is/wip/beMml
