only day 3 here, just stopped myself from relapsing again. i have realized the only reason i want to masturbate is for that rush of dopamine. i understand now i need to find other activities, preferably healthy, which release dopamine. however at what point do those activities not become equally as harmful? how do i find a balance? right now i use team fortress 2 because it can occasionally release strong doses of dopamine (and when it doesn't i get downright pissed off). so now i am very addicted to team fortress 2 and despite not finding it very fun anymore (and therefore getting no dopamine) i open the game because nothing seems to replace it for me but i want dopamine so bad. it isn't just team fortress 2 that has seized to be enjoyable, i cannot enjoy very much at all and only masturbation gives me this dopamine reliably. what feels "rewarding" to you? do you find the longer you go on nofap, the easier it is to get rewards doing other activities?

youve given a great list. i hadnt really noticed it but i had wanted to actually mow the lawn with our push mower, and yesterday i read 60 pages of "moonwalking with einstein" by josh foer which is really cool. i havent really, REALLY learned the secret but i have a good idea, basically it tells of ways to remember very long strings of information. the science of memory, it is very interesting i have never read that much of a book in one day before. and when i saw your suggestion of writing i picked back up my journal. day 5 boys
