After smoking heavily for some time, I was able to go cold turkey and finally beat that addiction. However, even though smoking was a part of my daily life, every habit had a smoking memory attached to it, porn is a lot harder beast for me to beat. I find myself relapsing to porn almost every other week or so, no matter hard I try. I feel like I will not be able to beat this.

I'm curious to know what made you quit smoking, OP.

I was tired of it. Tired of the money spent, the endless piles of cigs in ashtrays, and the gross feeling I felt whenever I was around non-smokers. It has been over a month since I last had a smoke, and I do not really miss it at all.

I also quit smoking (was only properly addicted for 2 years) cold turkey, but my porn addiction goes back like 10 years. About a year ago is when I finally realized I was addicted - yeah, pretty crazy how delusional your brain can be - and over the past year I was totally unable to get my head above water. I quit maybe only a dozen times over two days long the entire year.

It took refocusing my entire life-goal strategy and how that applied to my daily life, then taking my unsupervised computer time (on a computer, cell phone included, without other people in the room where I am) and totally eliminating it 100%, going out to spend time with real people instead.
