This offers similar benefits and rewards to the japanese only Enty (japanese patreon) page that has been up for a while now (https://enty.jp/kc).
This seems to be following a trend of japanese creators such as trigger creating their own patreon pages. I'm not sure what this means for the industry, but it's pretty interesting.

There's multiple reasons to be concerned.
While it's not a sin to want to make money off your art, does he consider it a hobby or a job now?
Will he keep it hostage, sell it off, or even cancel it, should it turn out to not be all that profitable? If it does become profitable, is he going to change it to even more profitable at the expense of its identity?
Is he going to start listening to demands of patrons? What will these demands be like?
Should we support it even though he's added things to it that the board doesn't agree with? What if he uses the money to make things the board doesn't like?
Monstergirls may be a fetish, but we should always keep in mind that money has a tendency of ruining things in the long run, depending on circumstance. We all saw the direction things like MGG and EMG went because of it.

I feel like KC can be trusted on this. The man's been working on MGE for literally a decade now, and MGE will never reach the mainstream like EMG did simply because of its loli content. I can't imagine him selling out on what is clearly his life's passion. Also, having funds means he could possibly work part-time, maybe not even need a day job at all, meaning he can pump out content at a much faster rate. I'll gladly be a patron if that can happen.

Perentie on Monster Girls Redux recently had contact with KC, perhaps in relation to the Patreon being opened. In the process he was able to ask a few quick questions and thus semi-confirm (i.e. there is always the small chance KC could change this in published works) a few things about the anatomy of certain monster girls: http://monstergirlsredux.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1164
Perhaps with the Patreon more questions might be answered, since it seems KC might have better access to a translator than before (the Patreon page notes that him replying taking time, but that would indicate that he does intend to talk some with patrons).
Anyway, the info is as follows:
1. Flow kelps do not have arms or hands (the question was asked because the art makes it look like she could be holding her hands behind her back) but can move their leaves with finger-like dexterity.
2. The goat and dragon heads on the chimaera's arms are indeed part of her body (as evidenced by the pupil of the dragon having moved to look at the man in the extra art).
3. The dark object on the kraken's head is part of her body, but she can conceal it with mana.
