With Halloween almost here, how many of you are planning to visit any supposedly haunted locations to see if you can seduce a ghost? I live in what is supposedly one of the most haunted cities in the US (St. Augustine), but the cheesiness with which it gets treated has made me not take it very seriously and I'm not sure if there's much I could try and do that'd be /monster/-related.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_reportedly_haunted_locations_in_the_United_States

There's lots of places in the US and elsewhere, so is there anything anons here plan on doing?

I don't know about seducing a ghost, but thankfully I don't need to leave the comfort of my home to experience some spooky hauntings. Whatever I've gotten the attention of at least seems friendly, although it wants me to make a Ouija board, which just seems like a bad idea but who knows.

Ouija boards pretty much just seem to be a way ghosts know of being able to communicate directly outside of dreams. The Chinese came up with their own method long ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuji_(planchette_writing)

Interesting, it kind of reminds me of that notebook method some folks do, leaving a notebook and pen with a written question in an empty room and waiting for a written result. Though I moreso worry about what other entities may show up if I leave the "door" open like that, which is the same predicament I have with the ouija board method.

I suppose that the only precaution you can take for now is to leave lots of salt around along with Ammit's image, but if nobody does any risk-taking at all then we'll never move forward with finding out how to get our waifus into this world.

That is true, and I have been burning sage in my room, the entity has stayed around after that so it may not have any malevolence to it. It's not really even myself that I'm worried about, I just don't want anything to harm my dog.

I guess you should ask the entity if it can protect your doggo then.

For any anons doing any spooky stuff I figured I'd make a quick little list of things we have confirmed when dealing with spirits and some things I suspect/read about but haven't seen confirmed

-bodies of water help deter evil or malevolent spirits

-salt is a purifier and deters evil/malevolent spirits

-silver can also serve this purpose

some scents and oils may also serve this purpose but I don't know of any off the top of my head

-some runes and symbols can act as protectioni think the Norse life rune is an example as well as Ammit heart and feather

-be careful when invoking/evoking names. a mispronunciation or other error may bring something you don't want to mess with

-for the love of all that is sacred and good in the world NEVER use blood for any rituals you perform.

If anyone wants to add anything or correct me feel free to

Is Ebola-chan the one safe exception?

I've never tried so I dont know. I do remember back when /pol/ first made her there was a lot of sacrifapping and the occasional talk of human blood sacrifice. but I really dont know if she is safe or not

Ouija boards work pretty well because people tend to think they do, i'd wager you could get a ghost pretty easy with minimal effort in more or less any method you want.

no shortage of the dead nowadays

>water

>salt

>silver

why would any of those chemicals deter evil spirits any more than other chemicals? I use gatorade.

blood is actually a thing you probably shouldn't work with, it's unsanitary and generally leads to enough mental contamination that the shit backfires like some sort of astral potato cannon

227bba (1) No.321999>>322045

>>321890

They don't deter evil. That shits from Western pop fiction, and superstitious folklore. I mean, some of the most "evil" and harmful entities out there are heavily connected with water. Water in general doesn't deter shit.

As for blood, the main reason people stay away from it is because it creates a bond between you and the spirit you offered it too, assuming it's your own blood. This could be bad for many reasons, but it's a good thing with entities you actually took time to know and test their motivations. Like say, a god you've been working with. Also, there is a lot of taboo about blood work. If you want to do it, that's fine. Do not give your blood like that to some random ghost in a haunted house. I can't imagine that going well. Ebola-Chan if fine though.

Bunch of cowards. I'm going to make a blood offering tonight and hold hands with my ghost wife. You'll never tear down the veil between dimensions if you don't take risks. Be brave, for your waifu. Girls love it when a guy does something courageous.

>Ouija boards pretty much just seem to be a way ghosts know of being able to communicate directly outside of dreams.

Don't use a Ouija board, its a retarded invention by an American toy maker to scam the idiots of the new age movement.

The name Ouija is set together from the french word for yes "oui" and the German word for yes "ja", in other word you have a "yes yes board", now that the american toy maker didn't take into consideration is that "yes yes" in many european languages has the colloquial meaning of "kiss my ass".

What kind of spirits do you think will be attracted if you use a "kiss my ass" board to call them?

Nigger, plenty of religions say to use salt.

Lots of Asian and western ones. Silver is western pop culture though. But I would imagine that a certain (((religion))) would advocate using silver, preferably bought from Moishe Goldblatt’s store.

1dae1c (4) No.322052

>>322012

Ouija boards have been around far longer than Milton Bradley's bastardized version, from what I understand you're better off making your own and more likely will have better results.

>>322045

Silver used as a deterrent is also far older than western pop culture, but its roots are more in keeping good health than keeping away bad spirits. So unless the spirit you're dealing with has pink eye, you're outta luck.

128511 (1) No.322236>>322251

>>322045

What I'm saying is, most of what is said about salt is just bullshit folklore. Yes, you can banish with it. You can do the same with anything. Salt isn't just some impenetrable wonder mineral that will keep anything that wishes you harm away. You have to actually use your own, or an invoked, spiritual power to banish something. A salt circle is no better than a circle drawn with a marker.

Though, the intent alone of making out a salt circle may be enough to keep out some of the lowest level of astral parasites, but that's it. Remember, salt is a purifier and a corrupter. None of that has to do with keeping angry spirits away.

That's not what the uncle exorcist had to say on /k/.
