I know what you mean. A lot of anons on here write stuff that is usually just focused on the monster and the self-insert and have no other real characters. Another problem I have is that the interactions are almost always immediately into sex with no development before or after. When the story is just "monster girl sees me, rapes me, now we're married" it shows no personality in any sense. Might as well have just been a meet and fuck off craigslist. Where's the trust, friendship, and REAL love?

Honestly do enjoy a lot of the general creativity that goes into their designs, as well as some other factors about them. However, since a large chunk of monster girl stuff is waifu stuff, it has gotten kind of stale for me, especially since I don't really care for that stuff to begin with.

I've actually been on this board for about a year now, or at least I did until I fell out a few months ago. Most of the stories and content that I've seen on here during that time wasn't really too nuanced or varied. The most deep storytelling that I really saw here was "It's not like I like you or anything b-baka!" or "Uh oh, too many waifus, what ever shall I do?"
Maybe I somehow missed all of the really deep and varied stories, but I just never saw them.

If you want worldbuilding read a CYOA, off the top of my head ResonantDrunk has built an entire post apocalyptic religion based on his own pessimism that even when our waifus are real the universe will still conspire to make being with them extremely difficult. He's doing the Child of the Australs CYOA right now.

I've heard that idea a few times, and while it is good in theory, it doesn't work well in practice. As you mention it yourself, you have a hard time finding the time to work on your story, and that's unfortunately the case for a lot of people, myself included. That, and even if I did finish the story, unless it is so fantastic that the other writefags would immediately try to emulate the direction I took with the characters, it's probably not going to have much impact, outside the reader going "huh, that was different," at most.
I'll stop ranting for now before I find myself on top of a soapbox.
