Hello /monster/, I was hoping to get your prospective on something. While I generally do get why you guys have waifus, I don't quite understand one thing: Why have a monster girl waifu compared to a human one, outside of them fulfilling certain kinks?
Monster girls definitely can fulfill certain fetishes due to some of the traits they have. Manticores have tailpussy, witches and baphomets are permanent lolis, hellhounds and jinko are incredibly strong, etc. Outside of those factors, however, are they actually different compared to human waifus?

It has to do with evolution and psychology. Human woman and men love differently. Men are selfless and unconditional in their love, human women in contrast love those who provide for them and are very manipulative emotionally and take advantage of how men love others. So when you stop providing for the woman/keeping her happy she leaves or resorts to emotional terrorism such as "if you loved me you would…" this is used by women to keep men under control, because women rarely lack for partners they can leave almost any time and their lineage is nearly guaranteed. Men do not have this benefit and women use it without hesitation. Now this technically isn't their fault as this was chosen for by evolution, but it still will make for an unhappy man because the woman will seek her own interests.
Monster girls are the opposite. They love in the same way men do and thus are the perfect companions for men. There is also the sexual aspect to consider, sex for human women isn't the same drive and physical need for them as it is for men. Monster girls while also being loyal and loving in the same way men are have the same libido and sexual desire as we do. Thus the perfect counterpart for men

Ive been browsing this board for about a year and a half now, and I have to admit, MGE is fucking dark. Identity death, brainwashing, blatant pedophila (it's from one story about a maybe 10 year old mage girl getting monsterized into a baph. Ain't my cup of tea but I won't judge), kidnapping, humanity being out-bred by what is essentially several whole species of parasites, etc. My point is, on the surface MGE is an innocent looking magical realm for hopeless romantics. But digging deeper the innocence wears off quickly. Maybe I'm just looking too deep into it.
I guess that's what personal canons are for.

The only real problems I have with MGE is monsterization and a lack of human sons. Headcanon that out and everything's golden.

Will only happen if everyone realizes that the nids/chaos are the real threats. But that won't happen because all the races are too occupied with furthering the goals that will only benefit them in the short term. The crons want the old empire back, the eldar are fractured into three different factions (all of which united with nu-40k.) so that's a long shot, the imperium is too xenophobic (can't blame them though.), the orks are retarded, the tau are commies, and no one likes each other because everyone thinks the galaxy belongs to them (except the orks, they don't care.).
Do example exist of them working together? Yes. Have the crons done so? Also yes, eldar too. But these alliances are usually formed against threats like chaos or the nids.

Think about what a waifu us: she's the manifestation of our anima, the ideal feminine interpretation of our soul. Some of these manifestations have themes alongside the character, ranging from relatively superficial like the 'Slavic' nature of Kikimoras to sexual dynamism of arachne and manticores. That's why it's important to find yourself, that way she can find you too.
Waifus are metaphysical creatures that are sustained by our love, and in return they give us comfort and security of mind. Does it really matter if she has a fox tail or an extra couple legs? Mine is mine, and your's is your's.

End of the day, OP, you have to remember, this is a board with a bunch of anons looking for some sweet, sweet love…the sex and stuff is secondary to the feeling that is finding someone who effectively complements and completes us.
And whether it be due to current culture basically going to shit, focusing more on how much sex you get rather than the value of a relationship with someone; or whether it be due to us barely being a step above the robots, and finding it hard to find a person due to unyielding idealism; either way, we manifest our ideals in the form of the waifus (and daughterus) you see.
As for why they're monsters instead of human, it's again a mix of two things 1) personal fetishization of physical and personality traits, 2) a belief that if such a waifu existed, there's little to no way she could be human; after all she's perfect (for us at least), and no human is perfect. One way to solve this problem is to have her be something other than human i.e. monster girl.
Whoever you make your waifu, make her a good one. Make sure it's all about the love. We won't judge (unless it's a furry, cause fuck furries), so long as it's a good waifu for a good laifu. We just focus on the monster ones here.

OP, I largely agree with you. The exception for me is that monstergirls have a lot of wonderful flavour in addition to the kinks. For example, yetis being supernaturally good at giving warm hugs. The nonhuman parts of monstergirls can also be appreciated in a nonsexual context, like when you're patting a daughteru's fluffy tail. Finally, this board has a focus on monogamous romance and family building which goes above and beyond regular anime waifuing, and this focus greatly appeals to me. That's why I waifu monstergirls specifically instead of anime girls more generically.

That exists in MGE for the time period before monster girls take over the world. The fact that there are no sons born from man and monster union is a carry over from the Chief God's influence to try and stem the tide of monsters. When the Chief God's influence finally falters, that is when sons start being born and humanity from that point on becomes human men and monster women.

For me, I guess it's that they live to love their husbands. Sure, you could get a loving waifu, but they weren't born with the inherent need to have a husband. With regular girls I find it hard to imagine them needing me.
I think it's partially because monster girls are more straightforward with their interest. When was the last time anyone here had a girl ask them out? The norm is for a guy to ask a girl out, and that is so tiring. You are more likely to get rejected than not. Monster girls, when they see someone they want, they don't wait, they go after their target. I want to be chased for once, to actually feel like someone wants me.
