I'm pretty sure Sam Hyde wrote this sketch to call out the "alt-right" community here on 8chan.
>Sam Hyde plays a pick-up artist
Pretty obvious jab at those faggy pick-up artists who literally do dress like Johnny Depp/dick Burton characters to "slay pussy".
>his apprentice is a disabled virgin named Robbie
Strong parallels to Fredrick Brennan, the initial founder of 8chan and Wizardchan
>Sam Hyde gives Robbie a makeover, trying to make him look cool but just makes him look like a weirdo
>"From now on, you will be known as Moonman"
Moonman is a white supremacist rapper birthed in stormfront/pol/ communities.
>"But, your secret name, that will be known only to me and that only I will call you, is "Tenis"
Tenis = T iny p enis
>"and, your secret name, that neither myself nor Nitro Dubs will call you, will be… David Duke."
Very popular figure in far right wing politics. Just about everyone in alt-right, nazi, and/or white supremacist groups are a fan of this guy.
So basically:
>Sam Hyde creates caricature of 8chan (lonely virgin Fredrick Brennan)
>makes him look like a wannabe, a poser
>"You will be known as moonman"
The parallel here is that the shitty makeover is the influx of /pol/ users. Now Fredrick Brennan (or 8chan in general) is known as a /pol/ community. He will now be known as Moonman.
>"Your secret name that only I will call you is Tenis"
Sam Hyde thinks that alt-right, white supremacist types have tiny penises.
>"Your secret name that no one will call you is David Duke."
Perhaps he means that David Duke is a very intelligent white supremacist, but no one will ever see /pol/ or 8chan like that (even if the community is as intelligent). But due to the nature of the site, they will be known as "Moonman", a racist robot voice that just spouts about putting Jews in the oven and killing niggers.
>in the end he's a bumbling fuck who can't get lines right when he's picking up chicks
What do you guys think? There's also the fact that he avoids publicly disclosing his political views, yet his content supports a lot of "alt-right" ideas like MGTOW. I think it's definitely implied that he stands for a lot of the same things that the alt-right does (as far as cultural views go, not so much political movements), but not enough so that he would be actually associated with them. Which is quite understandable to say the least.
