im sorry i missed your post, anon. but it turned out like this

afaik the gen 1 hanguards (the ones in the pic) were never imported. i finagled one through some contacts i have in spain. parkerized it myself, and had the externals cerakoted. rear sight screw broken (the importer broke a lot during disassembly), so i made a new one. pic related.

i used it at a 2 day practical carbine course. would definitely change a few things if i designed it. or maybe when i build another?
