Look here's the real skinny. A lot of states have what's called an "Extreme Protection Order". That's a special law that addresses people who are in serious and immediate danger. Because of the urgency of such situations the law was written to bypass standard jurisprudence. What you need to do is call your local police station and tell them that you need an Extreme Protection Order issued on yourself. That will set the wheels in motion for you to be fast tracked and bypass a lot of the ususal legal hurdles in cases like this. Basically, it will make you a special class of person so far as weapons laws are concerned. If you're worried, Extreme Protection Orders can be submitted anonymously and they don't have to be submitted by you, anyone can submit one on anyone. Good luck.

It's normally one of the things that's kept on the down-low, but since he said it, this. To get it on others you would need to provide evidence, and that more than not reveals what you're trying to slide. This is second hand because honestly I haven't tried it, but they'll ask for your name, your address, and the reason why. Your reason for why has to be specific, because if you say some shit like 'I'm going to be robbed' they'll station officers instead; the protection order's not something they'll always jump to. Something obscure like 'I've been very uneasy' or close derivative is what you want to aim for.
