Why do cops need full auto? I'm not saying regular people don't call them civilians, cops are civilians too shouldn't have fa funs but I find police use of them a bit questionable. From my civilian understanding, soldiers rarely use full auto fire from rifles/carbines, mostly using semi-auto fire with full auto being largely reserved for breaking ambushes and very close in work. Is this wrong? Considering the piss-poor training of most burger cops and the liability concerns (especially with those thin walls Americans use) shouldn't they be paying great attention to where each shot goes?
I must admit I am pretty biased, I'd like to see police restricted to using 'traditional' looking arms such as the Ruger Mini-14 simply because using a firearm employed by a military as its standard service arm generates the wrong mindset in a policeman. A policeman should never be allowed to think he is in anyway related to a soldier. They should be forced to stick to light blue too, camo on cops is pathetic.
