The picture was taken on the 10th of may 1945 by my grandpa who was patroling the beaches in denmark just after the war had ended when the plane in the picture flew low over the beach. At the time he couldn't see any markings.

The place is Karlstrup beach if it helps

Uhh, i don't remember the model exactly, but i'm fairly sure it's an american plane, a long distance fighter.

Seems awfully low to fly for a recon flight though. Makes sense they'd want to keep taps on what may be sailing to denmark at that time though.

The Anson was mostly used as a trainer by 1945, this was probably just some trainee trying to show off.
