What I know is, ISIS is getting annihilated in Syria, Egypt, Afghanistan, Libya & Iraq, and were totally defeated in the Philippines. It won't be long before they're wiped out in Syria and Iraq (despite the US doing their best to protect them). They're a dead entity at this point and have outlived their usefulness - even then, they mostly backfired. That said, if Iceland couldn't handle a handful of Muslims with surplus firearms, NATO would step in and turn it into a decades long debacle and Iceland would deserve it for being so weak. The real hypothetical scenarios are an insurgency in Germany, France or the UK and how they'd deal with them.

Unless Irsael really steps up the airstrikes then ISIS are fucked in syria, don't know if the US would escalate any further as they don't show any signs of leaving yet not doing much in the way of attacks outside their bases. As of now I would bet UK to be the most likely to have an isis type muslim insurgency pop up due to how easy it would be, though it will probably take time for it to get to that point. Any more conflict in the philipines or asia isn't going to go well as all the countries there are going to fight back either by the gangs there, by the governement or both.
