An 1873 Winchester in .44-40 and a S&W Schofield in .44-40. Rifle and pistol share common ammo which is a must, the faster reload of the Schofield is a decent trade off for its decreased power compared to the SAA, the Winchester has a larger capacity than its .45-70 cousins while retaining adequate power to kill humans, deer, and other mid-sized game while being gentle enough to still allow for the harvesting of rabbits and the like. Snake shot loads could be made and used in the Schofield.
