MN resident here - I was looking this over today and I didn't see any provisions that A) Protesting is a felony or B) that moving out of state requires destroying the firearms. I've seen that you can either destroy OR get them out of the state. But yes, this is ridiculous and I've written a little statement for my representatives:

In contrast, alcohol-related driving deaths accounted for 96 people dead in 2015 (3). Yet there are no bills in place to curb alcohol-related deaths. Alcohol isn't a right guaranteed by the constitution, but firearm ownership is. That right shall not be infringed. That alone should be reason enough to dismiss this bill with prejudice.

They had to pass an amendment during that whole prohibition fiasco.

I think the mistake here, that many people are making, is arguing in good faith with these people. They do not care about saving lives.

Everyone responsible for pushing and supporting bills like this should be immediately recalled/expelled/resign and never voting into office again, anywhere. It's obviously an end run around due process in addition to infringement.

The question is, how are these people not seditious?
