So, here's a thought that's crossed my mind … what about buying stainless steel dowels, cutting them to sub-bullet length and grinding one end into a spire-point, then using dental floss or something and suspending it in the middle of a bullet mold and pouring molten lead over it.

If all you want to do is punch holes in armor, from what I just read, an all-copper VLD bullet is something big, like .458 SOCOM or 45 Raptor, with as much powder as you dare shove in there, will get the job done.

Or just have a pistol in 7mm Rem-Mag. You might break your wrist but if one well placed shot doesn't get you the 'out' you need, you should have started running sooner.

It was the importation of the Fabryka Bronie Radom, Model Onyks 89S that caused the ATF to re-examine 7n6. Before a commercially made pistol came stateside, there was no reason consider the cheap stuff "armor piercing"

I think AR-15 pistols don't count, or M855 would be banned too.
