It's been awhile since I saw one of these, post your guns and what you want to do next. I'm having a hard time choosing between saving a ton of old sporterized military rifles from fools' collections and getting an AKM and m14/clone or maybe a PTR.
I fell in love with Mausers after selling my Mosin and suddenly want to get into all sorts of old bolt actions. Any suggestions for high priority? The French Berthier, Jap Arisaka or another Mauser would always be nice, but I don't have the money to just nab everything.

the type 81 is genuinely a better rifle than both the VZ 58 and in most ways the AKM.
Short stroke gas piston, rotating bolt.
about same weight as most ak type rifles but with more of that weight being in the bolt carrier giving it softer recoil and making far more reliable in full auto.
better placement of fire selector similar to AR
also you can use rifle grenades so thats fun.
my biggest complain is chinese build quality, all the working parts are sturdy and well machined but things like the pistol grip feel like an after throught; for example there is a sharp edge where the folding stock meets the reciver your hand will get caught on if you dont know about it
also using soviet style rails would have been nice, chinese scopes clamp onto reciver near barrel trunion

I was worried about that too, it’s why I refused to buy a Chink sks because I’ve Hear the quality is hit or miss on them.
>also using soviet style rails would have been nice, chinese scopes clamp onto reciver near barrel trunion
It’s possible to get a quad-rail replacement Handgaurd, but I like using irons.
My only beef with the type 81 is that the only company that sells them only ships out orders once or twice a year so I’ll have to wait until spring to get one, which is kind of an issue for me, but that’s not the gun’s fault.

If you read law literally, yes we can. But police think they can decide what law mean, so in most cases you would need to take this to court. In most cases you lose because (((judge))) will say that it's not what (((legislators))) had in mind when they wrote law. Some guys however have full autos on collector licence. Other, simpler way is to have shooting instructor license, start your own shooting school, then you have register them on your company.
Mine is just semi, unfortunatly.

How easy is it to get a gun in occupied Prussia :^) Poland? In about year I might need to run to Eastern Europe and buy one off of some old farmer Ivan.
>But police think they can decide what law mean
The RCMP aim leafland can ban any gun whenever they want. They banned a version of the CZ 585 for having the Greek words for “come and take them” on the stock.

Just a shelter half, not a bedsheet. Would be cool though.
Top gun is my great-grandfather's Mauser Model 1871/84. Haven't fired it yet because it's missing the firing pin.
Bottom gun is a Cooey in 16g.
The Type 81 is bretty good, but it's still a chink service rifle. Don't expect amazing accuracy, but I've had no problem hitting man-size targets at 100m. Aside from 2 or 3 light primer strikes, I haven't had any issues using non-corrosive Norinco.
The nightstand's just Walmart particleboard trash kek

The rifle sling in front of the trigger guard is what mad some think it was a Gew 98 but I then I actually looked at it. Neat gun to have though.
>Haven't fired it yet because it's missing the firing pin.
I’d imagine trying to find one would be expensive and difficult. Just like the ammo probably.

I’ve heard the folding stock is a bit wobbly, but I couldn’t stand to buy a fixed stock. I need to find dummy grenades for it.

The only firing pins I've found are in the US with companies that don't ship north. I almost got a parts rifle but I waited a day to buy it and it sold by then.
I've only fired 500 rounds, but folding stock on the Type 81 so far is really solid. The only part that rattles is the dust cover.
