I have a friend I have known for a long time. His name is Paul Gratton, and he is a small business owner. He's a single father with two boys, and he's been convicted and ordered to surrender himself at the beginning of February. The case # is 3:16-43-1. US v PAUL GRATTON. He tried to bring, not even an airgun, but an airgun silencer from Canada into the US and the (((j)))udge is treating it like an actual firearm. He's already been convicted but we want to try to ask the President to intervene and prevent a huge miscarriage of justice. If we call the hotline we can ask for a special prosecutor to oversee the case and correct this major injustice. He has done nothing wrong and his sons are going to be without their father.

We need to make a stand here. Obama appointees in the ATF are going after a case with little real basis in order to continue the USA Federal crackdown on weapons. If this is the time someone is going to serve for a mod for an air rifle, imagine what will happen once they start doing the same thing to everyone who doesn't cross every t and dot every i on their paperwork.

Hello, I’m [YOUR NAME IN HERE]

I’m calling to ask the President to intervene and prevent a huge miscarriage of justice against Paul Gratton in a federal court in Nashville TN.

The case # is 3:16-43-1. US v PAUL GRATTON.

Paul is a small business man who works to insure the safety of many law enforcement agents. Paul’s a single father of 2 boys and he’s been convicted and ordered to surrender himself at the beginning

of February.

The Prosecutor continues after a year to withhold information that proves Paul was set up and entrapped by a government informant. The Brady violations are greater than those of the BUNDY case. The judge has refused to date to decide on post trial motions.

I’m calling because I wish for President Trump to order a stay of sentencing and to appoint a special investigator to look into the wrongdoings of federal prosecutor and ATF that committed wrongs against Paul.

Please intercede before 1st February. Thank you for your consideration.

We couldn't find any pictures of them nor the prosecutors. Guy has made some serious enemies.

This ruling sets massive precedent for what qualifies as a firearm in the United States, as the exact wording for what qualifies as a suppressor is " any device for silencing, muffling, or diminishing the report of a portable firearm". Since an air rifle is not a firearm, a suppressor for an air rifle is not a firearm suppressor, and not subject to laws set by the ATF. This judge de facto ruled that an air rifle is a firearm, which would carry all the associated regulations therein.

The evidence at trial showed that, in the spring of 2015, Gratton, who owns a helicopter servicing business in Murfreesboro, traveled to England, where he purchased six firearm silencers, none of which had serial numbers, from a firearms dealer in Sheffield. Gratton put some of the silencer parts into a DHL package, which he deliberately mislabeled in order to ensure that those silencers got through U.S. Customs without being discovered by the authorities.

>Gratton put other silencer parts into his checked baggage, and flew back to Murfreesboro, the evidence showed.

While I don't think this guy should be in prison, he was being a fucking idiot. If Trump was on our side, he would have issued an unlimited amnesty period for this shit DACA style but for gun owners. Instead, he's probably going to let the ATF continue fucking us in the ass, like the rest of the Republican party and the Democrats would have done. Honestly, I'm just tired of this shit. That being said, you can buy airgun silencers on fucking ebay, so why did you lie? These were firearm silencers.

The problem is that the OP is lying and the guy brought back actual suppressors.

No Anon, OP is a faggot who didn't do his research.

Are we 100% sure? Did they list what model/manufacture? There can be strange wording in the laws sometimes, which can be misconstrued, so just trying to be certain before passing judgement on someone that I can't directly call a faggot.

Yes, but are those 'silencers' for airguns or actual firearms.

tbqh a fucking water bottle, tp roll and cotton and duct tape is an adequate suppressor for .22s and other smaller calibers. It is also legal within the united states to possess and produce suppressors for non firearms/air rifles. That includes air-rifles which fire .22 sized pellets at near, or even beyond .22 velocities.

What is the model name and number of what he bought?

a8ca94 No.543346

>>543339

>Are we 100% sure?

I think we can be reasonably sure. You can buy airgun parts from the UK. Hell, I own a couple of imported air rifles, and they all have suppressors on them. You can even order replacement parts.

>>543343

>Yes, but are those 'silencers' for airguns or actual firearms.

They were for actual firearms. Airgun suppressors don't fit on regular weapons and would never work if actually used, since the baffles are usually made of plastic, or soft metal, never shit like inconel or anything close to being useful on a firearm.

>What is the model name and number of what he bought?

Should be in the court documents, but even OP's summaries clearly say firearm silencers and that he purposefully mislabeled the packages he sent. The guy was clearly trying to get away with illegal silencers. He knew what he was doing. Again, I don't think this should be illegal, but it is, and he knew that.

I understand that is what the ATF attests. Nonetheless, the ATF are retarded, actual niggers, that have historically impounded a bunch of airsoft guns because they were 'fully convertible' to full auto.

If this is that sort of case, we need to push hard, because Trump may actually get involved. On the other hand, if somehow, a britbong/canacuck was able to and purchase a 9mm suppressor off the shelf in britbongistan, then ok. As far as I know that is not legal in the UK.

Thusly OPs buddy either is getting shafted by the ATF

>because he shipped airsoft/air rifle suppressors overseas

>because he somehow went through the fucktarded process of getting a handgun in the UK, plus suppressor, then shipping it to the US

>because he illegally acquired a suppressor in the UK, and shipped it to the US.

a8ca94 No.543349

>>543348

He was convicted in March of last year and his guilt isn't up to debate. Trump isn't going to do anything because he doesn't really care, since he's a senile old man that we all pretend actually gives a shit about us. I'm still waiting on that executive order to allow troops to carry on post that he said he would sign on day one.

As for the UK gun laws, there are firearm-rated suppressors that will attach to actual weapons, but are supposed to be used on air rifles. This is a loophole in UK law. He probably bought a couple of rimfire-rated airgun silencers, and thought that would fly, but forgot that in the US, if it can be readily attached to a firearm, it's a real silencer, legally speaking.

What's next? Going to court over toys? Seems like an issue to control other things.

Can throw knife and kill someone too. Silencer is just a luxury, and a luxury of sport in it's intended use.

Airgun suppressors are legal in the US if they're permanently affixed to the barrel, otherwise the ATF considers them to be just like any other suppressor.

OP's a faggot, so is the dumbass knowingly breaking the law, as well as everyone being surprised he got tossed in the clink for doing it.

Airguns aren't silent without a silencer. Just try it, and you'll see. Don't confuse them with airshit.

In the US, these are undeniably considered firearm silencers.

The silencers in question, used on a 10/22. 1/2x28 thread is ubiquitous for these applications, and the claim that it's not a silencer unless gunpowder is fired through it has no basis in reality. If you drill a hole instead of fire through an oil filter, you still have made a silencer. All that needs to happen is that it is readily accepted by a firearm, and meant and able to muffle the sound. You can buy a TKO moderator in the US for a Benjamin rifle, but it doesn't fit any firearms, cannot muffle them, and is not meant to fit them. There is a reason customers of this US dealer are not in prison and this guy is, and it isn't because they were just out to get him specifically, as he claims.

98 years is sudden? They've always been called silencers. The fact that "suppressor" is a more accurate description doesn't change that.

Have you been to court? Shit son, I had video evidence that my landlord was a conniving jew breaking the law, and the judge refused to see it a few years back.

The whole court system is a sham. They ask you loaded questions to make you answer a way they want you to answer, and fine you with "contempt of court" if you tell them their yes/no answer questions are bullshit.

a8ca94 No.543975

>>543711

It's also the legal word for it. Suppressors is the more accurate term, hell "muffler" is even more descriptive, but it's a catch-all term that is well-worn. UK fags and airgun guys like to use the term moderator to describe them. I'm pretty new to airgunning, so I don't know if this is how it was always described, or if grew out of airgun fags wanting to distance themselves from firearms in order to keep their shit less regulated. Even in the UK, airgun laws suck ass, but at least you can learn some marksmanship without having to go through hoops.

0d9714 No.544029

>>543975

> UK fags and airgun guys like to use the term moderator to describe them

Pretty sure in bongland that's a result of the relevant legislation using the term moderator. in a weirdly specific case of non-cuckery you can generally you can get one hassle-free if you state it's to avoid hearing damage/annoying the public and in fact it's often encouraged.
