Figured id make a general product review thread because I’m bored as all hell, and I just bought this bad boy. Bear in mind, I paid 50 aud for it when its normal price is 199. I also bought it purely for the hard carry case, everything else is just a bonus. If you can call this crap a bonus. Had a quick look online. It goes for 66 usd, so I reckon I got a good deal. Also, the “seven piece survival kit” is rubbish, it includes the multi-tool sheath as one of the seven pieces.

First off the mark is the so called “tactical” pen. Aluminium body, glass breaker in the cap, and the cap unscrews with an o-ring to keep dirt and water out. Glass breaker works as advertised. My only complaint is that you cant take it apart to replace the ink, afaik.

This bracelet is just like any other cheap “survival” bracelet. Has a whistle, para-cord, a fire striker, and a compass. The whistle whistles, the para-cord is para-cord, and the fire striker lights fires pretty easily. With the compass however, you would have better luck finding Amelia Earhart’s corpse than finding north. I fucked around with it for 15 minutes, and I couldn’t get it to decide on any one direction as north.

For a cheap chinesium multi-tool, id rate it a 6/10. the blade is decent, the saw is decent, the can opener is probably the best ive seen on a multi-tool, and it has a fair array of screwdrivers. Bonus point for having bypass cutters on the pliers. Comes with a nice sheath that has an open ended belt clip.

The flashlight does everything a flashlight should, with no extras. Decently bright with fresh batteries.. Solid enough for a toolbox torch or something like that. Id buy a higher quality one for a bug out bag.. Comes with chinesium batteries.

The folding knife is nothing but cheap shit. The blade is okay, and the grips are okay, but the liner lock is hands down the worst I’ve ever seen. Where it locks into place, the bit on the blade it contacts has an angle on it, so it may well slip off if you apply pressure in the wrong direction. It also just barely engages, you kinda have to push the liner lock over to engage it fully.

Now, the only reason to buy this kit is this hard body carry case. The catches are excellent, even though they are plastic, the foam inside is pre cut into half inch squares so you can easily cut out any kind of profile you want, the plastic they use seems quite tough, it has 2 locking points, and its a pretty decent size. You would have no issues storing a full size handgun plus a few magazines in it. Internal dimensions without the foam are 23.8 x 18.1 x 10 centimetres. It also has an unscrewable bit just under the carry handle, with a threaded brass insert leading into the case itself. No idea what its for.

Overall, for what it says it is, 2/10. cheap shit. but if you find it for half price or less usd, its worth it for the hard case alone. fuck off flood post detector you dodgy piece of shit

b8e88c No.540604

lol that case took under $10 to make and fill with the pen, bracelet, flashlight, multitool and knife. Thats what it costs to order a chink factory to make it all, in large enough batches (5k+).

I used to work at underarmour which scams mallninjas just like this.

>>540604

oh well, i only needed the case anyway. i knew from the get-go the gear inside was crap, but if i was to try to buy any case like this by itself, the cunts would be charging 80-90 bucks

and like i said, its only even close to worth it if its half off or more.

Try aliexpress, you wont regret it. The chinks still gouge you, but its only 2-3x the real cost… not the severe 10x rape you get in brick & mortar "western" shops.

Cree rechargeable flashlight

>Pros

Cheap flashlight (compared to other higher-end ones that run around $60 instead.

12 hour charge time on a computer or device like that, but charges much faster if you plug it into a wall outlet or USB-wall outlet adapter.

3 lighting modes. First is very bright, good for outdoors. Second is dimmer, good for indoors. Third is rapid flash, good for alert signals or giving an enemy a seizure.

"Zoomable" light focus adjustment to adjust for lighting up a near/wide or far/narrow area.

You can take off the lens on the zoom cap easily for extra-wide near lighting focus, like lighting up a whole tent while hanging from the center o the roof.

<Cons

Rarely in stock at the place I got it, unsure on other locations.

Internal battery may lose charge capacity eventually and maintenance is probably "buy a new one".

If it's on for "too long"(on for hours), it will temporarily dim all three light modes.

Made in china.

Documentation is light. (Only relevant to charging.) You have to assume the power button turning green means it's fully charged, which is a logical assumption.

What is the purpose of storing all that shit in a hard foam lined case? It seems like a fanny pack would be more practical.

b8e88c No.540933

Price of globalism.

West doesnt have industry anymore. Thats why they can charge $14 for a flashlight, no one in north america knows what it costs to build one from scratch.

This started when I was a kid, in the 60s. We moved clothes production to Europe to help them rebuild after WWII, and sudenly a shawl that was $0.75 from a indianapolis factory, cost $5 when an italian shop made it.

Same thing continued, industry kept being moved to poorer countries, and prices rose every time.
