Remember that Sony is marketing and publishing this movie, Sony usually doesn't release good movies like Sicario 1 was and might just be marketing it like they usually market their shitty movies they have dumped out these past few years. I hope it will be good because actually serious and dark action/drama movies aren't that common.
On other /k/ cinema, Sergio Leone films are pretty obvious. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly contains some hot revolver action.

What's really gonna be missing from this movie is Emily Blunt's character and the diversity hire. That's what gave the original movie some sticking power, the whole yass-queen stronk womyn that fucks up every situation she's in and even gets tingles for a dirty cop taking cartel money halfway through the movie, only to be saved from being choked to death by Del Toro (who knew this was going to happen because she had no OPSEC and used her as bait). So, this looks more like a straight up action film where Brolin is going to say some words to Del Toro and he's going to get really mad and kill a bunch of cartel soldiers then XYZ happens and the movie ends.

It's about a kid returning from an unspecified war (almost certainly Chechnya) only to get roped into organized crime by his brother, a professional hitman. Very /k/, excellent soundtrack, and a great look into Russia just after the fall of the USSR. It's on youtube but the subtitles are shit, snag it from the pirate bay.
