1) Get a jerry can of cosmoline
2) Get a wooden crate
3) Place the gun inside the crate
4) Fill the crate up with the cosmoline
5) Douse the whole thing in gasoline when need arises
The gun will literally last for centuries, maybe millenia that way.
You can also just cover them in a thick layer of oil, but that will eventually drip/dry off and leave the gun exposed. Best way for long term display storage would be oiling it up every couple months and keeping it in a glass

>flash hiders
They are recoil increasers, not flashhiders. They are important to the functioning of the guns, an if they have holes they may not function properly anymore.
Though I believe you can buy some new ones online.
They are also quite easy to make (or at least ones that function like the originals) if you have a drill, a turning machine or something similar.

>Chromium is the second hardest metal known to man after diamond.
Yes, but there are other materials much harder than Chromium that are not metals. Ceramics for example. This is why you can use a simple ceramic platter to sharpen most knives.
