All of their empires collapsed too. But I know the feeling, before becoming Muslim you think Muslims are united and the non-muslims are disunited. But after becoming muslim your perception flips, that's a natural human impulse towards ingroup awareness / criticism.

This isn't true but fine, let's suppose it is. So what? How do you "unite" with your political enemies? Whom should sunnis "unite" with shia against when iran is worse than all other nations in animosity to sunnis? Killing sunnis is part of their religion since they see it as revenge for something that happened 1400 years ago in their distorted narratives.

They say that the Imams were created before Adam and claim they are made of light, not clay. That means they think Ali is some kind of Jinn/Angel and his family are demigods.

Ibadis are muslims that had a political difference with the others. So are the zaydi shia, and others. But the 12ers used a political difference as an excuse to change the religion.

There will only be unity if we all follow the qur'an and authentic hadith. I don't care if muslims pray with their hand down/up or if they are to pray two/one raka'at after salah. If they believe that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad (pbuh) is his messenger, and in the 6 testimonies of faith and 5 pillars of islam, that is all that I care about. But ask yourself, WHO follows these things the most?

Shia have always been bane for Islamic expansion. They organised massive civil wars during the first 3 caliphates.

Then, their majoosi rafidhi safavi forced converted Iran to 12er majoosism. Attacked Ottomans from behind at crucial times when they were fighting against european countries. Never for once supported Ottoman, Mughal or Mamluks in their wars against disbelievers. Didn't win single inch of land from disbelievers. Always ready to attack Sunni empires only by allying with kuffars. Iran today is no different.
