"Allah is but one God. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs." [4:171]

How do I know yall muslims arent pulling one of them taquito on me?

It says in your book you're allowed to lie to preserve your faith???

That's what we call faith.

>It says in your book you're allowed to lie to preserve your faith

Not really. But it does say:

"Do not mix truth with falsehood and do not deliberately hide the truth" Qur'an 2:42

If someone held my family at gunpoint and asked me my religion, and would shoot if I said Islam, Taqqiya states that I'm allowed to lie to save their lives. That's all it is.

People like to claim that it lets Muslims lie to make their religion look good so that they can whip it out when they lose a debate.

>I'm allowed to lie to save their lives

Pretty much, yep; but you shouldn't. I've always seen it as a "You can, but shouldn't" scenario.

>whip it out when they lose a debate.

Bingo.

what if the gunman asks you to blaspheme the prophet and the quran and Allah to prove you aren't muslim, and eat some pig and say Allah has partners. And you do all these things and then he shoots you in the face and you go to meet your maker?

You really think this is honorable behavior worthy of jannah?

I know my religion doesn't allow me to deny my faith, the moment I deny my faith I deny myself and I get denied by God.

>>25396

>You can but you shouldn't

huh? so you can "get away" with doing something immoral in your opinion?

Actions performed under duress aren't valid in Islam. I'd give precise hadiths but Google search is terrible for this sort of thing. There was a hadith about a sahaba who was tortured into blaspheming the Prophet (PBUH), who was forgiven for it.

Taqqiya isn't about denying your faith, and it isn't immoral. It's a situational option to buy time or save lives through lying. If neither of those are going to happen then going out as a martyr is fine, but if there's a chance your attempt at buying time will give people the opportunity to escape then the option is there.

719060  No.25404

>>25403

something wrong with blaspheming God and denouncing your faith to buy time or get out of a sticky situation, I mean if life is a test and truth is the highest virtue, then lying about your fundamental beliefs indicates you didn't have real faith, you value your well being more than God and the truth.

I understand people are weak and will crumble under pressure but we shouldn't say "ya you can do it, but you shouldn't" that enables self-deception and could put their soul in hell.

>what if the gunman asks you to blaspheme the prophet … (etc)

I think you're failing to make the distinction between saving someone else's life and saving your own.

>so you can "get away" with doing something immoral in your opinion?

No, but saving someone's life isn't immoral.

ec9b24  No.25408

>>25404

Yeah, you're definitely missing the distinction between:

>>25395

>If someone held my family at gunpoint

and the gunman having the gun to my head

If someone put a gun to my head and said he'd shoot me if I didn't denounce Islam, then I would accept my death. If someone put a gun to my wife's head and demanded I eat some bacon or she dies, then I would eat the bacon on even the slightest chance he would let her go. God would forgive me.

This is, of course, assuming I can't fight the gunman off.

If some satanist mass shooter was pointing a gun to your head and asking if you are a X, no god should be upset if you were to lie, to persevere your life.

Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief… except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah, and for them is a great punishment;

The theory of Taqiyya is to allow you to lie to prevent a loss of life without getting punished by Allah in the afterlife. It can also be extended to the battlefield where subterfuge would be required at times, essentially allowing one to be employed as a spy without fearing repercussions in the afterlife.

The issue arises because some people may think they are constantly at war, and they are a soldier and Taqiyya gives them a right to lie about anything.

This is also addressed in Hadith and basically those people are dumb and wrong. Getting a dirty look on the bus or being called a sandnigger online isn't the type of oppression talked about in the Qu'ran.
