Saudi women 'to be allowed driving licences'

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-41408195

King Salman had issued a decree allowing women to be given driving licences, the Saudi Press Agency said.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that has forbidden women from driving.

Rights groups have campaigned for years to allow women in Saudi Arabia to drive. Some Saudi women have been fined and imprisoned for daring to get behind the wheel.

That's good news. Now Saudi Arabians will finally be able to make jokes about "women behind the wheel".

Ha! True. Don't know yet if they'll require a chaperone or not. Hopefully I'll be able to find a copy of the King's decree.

It was bound to happen sooner or later.

First thoughts:

This was done for international reasons, most saudi women didn't care about this.

This is stupid, ie impractical, women drivers directly result in men paying higher insurance premiums. Google it, im not your secretary.

This is a bad symbol that will lead to more problems. Slippery slope is real.

Crabs have succeeded in pulling saudi back into the bucket of modernity and it will only get worse.

This was an upright tradition that maintained chivalry in society.

I was a staunch defender of the kingdom irl and online for many years but this is has finally broken my back. I'm done forever carrying water for them and support the death of House of s

Saud.

Saudi arabia is being influenced by the UAE now that Mohammad Bin Salman is in charge, his father will soon abdicate the throne to him.

His son is more moderate and modern muslim, looking to transform saudi into a dubai like place and make it an even bigger rival to iran.

I dont think this will work, their economy is in the toilet and they dont have enough oil prices to fund everything they need and pay the royals, they can only do 1 of these.

Saudi arabia is a hotbed of islamic extremism and I would not be surprised to see an isis like entity emerging out of their ashes in a few years

Yes, very known. Already saudi has women driving, bikini beaches, and free mixing concerts. The small good things that used to not even offset the great evils of the country are now gone. Now it is only great evil. Just another state of drunk jahils. Soon there will be churches and naked tawaf.

Makes me sick how kuffar like kardashians and clintons and millions of others are obsessed with our women. We don't care what any of you kufs do with your women. Leave us alone.

What possible could you have IN FAVOUR of this silliness? I have never seen anyone able to legitimately defend the ban, all they do is throw around buzzwords like 'fitnah'.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/nov/02/saudi-protest-driving-ban-not-popular

Just the very bad women who are now saying "this is only the beginning."

They want naked tawaf. They want boyfriends. They want body piercings, sex changes, dyed hair. And this is the first step. WAKE UP.

3202ce  No.24089

These women already had free university and free healthcare for life. Yet they were 'oppressed'. Makes me physically ill.

67f8ed  No.24090

>>24085

I don't think there are any significant number of muslims against women driving per se. The problem is the attack by non muslims against Islam and saudi arabia based on nonsense. Like >>24089

said saudi women have it better than most in the world but are called oppressed. The reason for enabling women to drive is not to give them more freedom, it's to make it easier for women to work to better the economy since know not enough women are in the work force, which is good for the country but not for the individual woman necessarily.

67f8ed  No.24091

>>24088

Well Saudi Arabia is attacked from every direction. You mentioned non muslims who want to introduce western degeneracy into the country. Other non muslims want to nuke it. A lot of "sunnis" want isis/al qaida to turn it into another iraq.

914227  No.24092

>>24091

There's a difference between islamic criticism and kuffar that want to "deconstruct" saudi society to show that lgbt is better than sharia.

And before 2001 when Saudi changed their books and began jailing ulema no sunni questioned their legitimacy except baathis. And sunnis don't want saudi to be another iraq, we want Iraq to be another Saudi! Instead, Iraq is now another Iran! Be fair.

More ulema were arrested two days ago in Saudi because BS thought they might oppose the drive ban out of urf/maslaha. And what are the madkhalis saying about this? Looks like nothing. They used to defend the drive ban and now they ignore its overturn. Sad.

And yes, mujahideen let women drive in warzones. Saudi is not a warzone so there was no emergency need.

67f8ed  No.24094

>>24092

>no sunni questioned their legitimacy except baathis.

Since when did baathis become sunnis?

>Iraq is now another Iran!

isis and co. are largely to blame for weakening the sunni cause. But then again khawairj have always prioritized murdering muslims so it's not exactly surprising.

c5420f  No.24099

>>24094

Sunni Baathis were never murtadeen, just fasiqoon. You seem like an Iranian-apologist to be honest. You also seem to have some hatred for sunnis especially in Iraq. You are literally blaming sunnis for fighting the american and iranian invasions. Whatever man. Done wit you. I don't like the extremism of some of these groups but I don't ignore the fact every sunni countrt left Iraqi sunnis to die for 30 years now.

If you're scared to criticize US foreign policy or rafidi scum here then don't be. Don't be so one-sided and harsh on sunnis, it's skin-crawling tbh.

Pretty funny how that video starts with a baseless patently false claim "The Britis Established Salafi Islam" and then just lists typical signs of diplomatic friendship over a century of international relations.

The British supported group was QADIANIS who had a new prophet and said jihad was over. The British also supported the Hashemites and Turks against the Saudis for decades. You have no idea what you're talking about. Read some books please, you have been memed.

And as the Saudis invaded Hejaz the Hashemite King Hussein did what? He cried to the British and the British didn't help him since his sole purpose was to hurt Ottomans.

>Sharif Hussein’s request for British assistance was denied to him on the pretext of non-intervention in religious disputes.[3]

And the al-Khurma Dispute where Britain propped up the Hashemites in their war with Saud.

>The war came within the scope of the historic conflict between the Hashemites of Hejaz and the Saudis of Riyadh (Nejd) over supremacy in Arabia.[2] It resulted in the defeat of the Hashemite forces and capture of al-Khurma by the Saudis and his allied Ikhwan, but British intervention prevented immediate collapse of the Hashemite kingdom, establishing a sensitive cease-fire that would last until 1924.

False confidence from the same concern trolling false flagger who said:

What "Arabs" think doesn't mean jacksugar. Islamic scholars differ and most say Iraq. You don't even know what nejd means.

It'd be different if we had a hadith with a proper city name… like a city in Iran…

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Dajjal (the Antichrist) will be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan and will be dressed in robes of green coloured satin."
