Salam, I have been debating with lots of your typical Atheists/Skeptics. And I saw this thread on Google+: https://plus.google.com/113502479599505264759/posts/d9j1UMgh3Tm

The main point here, specifically, is;

1: can anyone specifically tell me the stages as they are described in the Qur'an, about embryology? The main problem in this topic is that the Qur'an supposedly said Flesh are grown than bones, but science says Flesh and bones grow *simultaneously*.

2: ["Would ye really approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, ye are a people (grossly) ignorant!

Qur'an 27:55"

Homosexuality was something that did not exist prior to the people of Lot.] Can anyone specify this statement? (Note: all in brackets are copied from wikiislam. I chose this anti islamic sites only because it is pretty convincing, prior to other lies it spews out.)

3: [I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then will I crucify you all together. [Surah 7:124]

Said he: You believe in him before I give you permission; most surely he is the chief of you who taught you the magic, so you shall know: certainly I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and certainly I will crucify you all. [Surah 26:49]

In the story of Joseph, about 400 years earlier we also read of another crucifixion in this passage:

O my two mates of the prison! as for one of you, he shall give his lord to drink wine; and as for the other, he shall be crucified, so that the birds shall eat from his head, the matter is decreed concerning which you inquired. [Surah 12:41]

We have, however, no record that Egyptians used crucifixion as punishment in the time of Moses (1450 BC, conservative date; 1200 BC at the latest) or even Joseph (1880 BC, conservative date). Crucifixion only becomes a punishment much later in history and then first in another culture before it has been taken over by the Egyptians. Such threats by a Pharaoh at these times are historically inaccurate.]

Thoughts?

These questions among others, are bringing to the brink of agnosticism, or even atheism if not answered. Thanks - anon

>These questions among others, are bringing to the brink of agnosticism, or even atheism if not answered. Thanks - anon

>The Quran must totally conform to the ever-changing theories of modern academia.

Your iman in "science" is stronger than your iman in Allah. This is because of your sins and your abandonment of the obligations. Muslims become atheists and atheists become Muslims everyday. Anyone Allah misguides cannot be guided by us. Neither can we misguide anyone Allah guides. So do as you wish.

Until you work on your relationship with Allah everything will be an excuse and opportunity for you to become an atheist. Or should I say, finally declare yourself an atheist.

>answer this

<or I'll become that

Not how it works.

What's the real issue here? You want to use credit cards and drink alcohol, fornicate with someone's daughter? Answer me or I'll become a Mormon Shinto. I'm on the brink of Mormonism and Shintoism - if you don't answer me, I'll jump.

There are three things that need to be clarified. Firstly, "Science" isn't some monolithic entity that dictates how the world runs. "Science" doesn't say anything. It's a collection of studies and experiments on how the world works. Don't just sit there and nod your head when you see that Science said something, ask for studies used to determine it. And before anyone tries to be a smartass, science is a good thing. Learning about the world brings us closer to God, not further away

Secondly, you need to look at lots of different studies on one topic. Methods change, and our understanding of the world changes as we find better ways to measure it. If you have access to materials from Google Scholar, you should be able to find loads of journals that can help you here.

Thirdly, the people who make sites like Wikiislam don't like Islam. It's obvious, but should be pointed out. They do it to turn people away from the religion, and a little omission or white lie every now and again isn't beyond them. They don't play fair, and you shouldn't assume they aren't going to stretch the truth or lie. There are lots of sites out there that tackle the stuff pushed by anti-Islam sites, and you should always get both sides of the argument.

1: The word for bone development is Ossification. There's Endochondral Ossification and Intramembranous Ossification. I can't find much on the Internet on when they start, but if you want to look it up those are the words you need to use.

Wikiislam uses the Pickthall translation when showing the Quranic verses. It's not a bad translation, but you want to read the others too to make sure. Sahih International says "Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators." [23.14]

Here's an album of pics of what baby development looks like: https://www.babycenter.com/fetal-development-week-by-week

2: I don't see the connection. Sounds like a massive stretch to me. Maybe someone who knows Arabic can clarify it.

https://quran.com/27/54-58?translations=20 Here it is on Quran.com. It doesn't mention anything about homosexuality not existing before it.

3: History is our knowledge of the past. Just because we don't have records of crucifixion taking place doesn't mean they didn't know what it was.

Another way of looking at it is that Moses was challenging everything the Pharaoh stood for. He was getting more desperate as more of those loyal to him started to agree with Moses, and started shouting out the scariest threats he could think of.

>agnosticism, or even atheism if not answered

And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place. 18:29

OP here,

I just want to clarify that I am not demanding to be answered or leave the religion of Islam, I know that my wording sounds like that but it's not. I just find these points pointed out really really interfering with my day-to-day life.

An example of this, is when I came across this atheist which I debated with till I became absolutely confused that I couldn't even sleep without thinking about religion.

I know that their are hypocrites on both sides of the spectrum, wether in Islamic scholarship, or Atheist doctrines.

1.) I'm not a doctor or a scientist. But I have family that are MD's - they're muslim with no problem. The Quran is not going to teach someone to be a OB-GYN. We are muslims, we use scripture for religion and science books for science. The atheists use science books for science and religion.

2.) You mean 29:28. Soddom and gomorrah was destroyed ~4,000 years ago. Were there gays before that? Maybe, maybe not. But Allah is saying they have exceeded all others in their degeneracy inb4 /pol/. This could be in quality of degeneracy or quantity.

3.) Crucifixions were often done just on poles, not always the logo of the christians. If we can demonstrate that firawn nailed someone to a pole will this person become Muslim? If the answer is no then why should your own faith hang in the balance but there's does not?

Now we know there are 71 genders.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/facebook/10930654/Facebooks-71-gender-options-come-to-UK-users.html

In Quran there's only 2 genders.

So how come the Quran is missing 69 genders?

2acd66  No.22400

>>22399

Aside from the Qur'an or not, their will always be 2 genders. Its always Adam & Steve, Penis & Vagina, not Adam, Steve, Max, Mike, Viccy or other homosexual names there is. Without these 2 genders, we wouldn't exist. Its as simple as that. Homosexuals always make their feelings and emotions take over theirselves. But I shouldn't think this should be taken into debate either.

Thanks, that calmed me a bit too.

To answer your questions in the newer thread:

1) Seminal fluid comes from the prostate, not the testes. The prostate's position matches the Quranic description.

2)I don't know about a resting place but the earths crust is thicker under mountains, and that thickness extends into the mantle like a spike or peg

3) Its a mix of things. I'd say its because the Islamic world is too busy infighting instead of working together for mutual progress.

thanks for replying. also, what dose it mean that my newer thread is locked?

It means you can post your new thread's questions in here. This is your own crisis of faith thread, you're not going to have 1 then 2 then 3 then 4 then 5 then 6 etc crisis of faith threads.

You're doing something very wrong that your iman is this low, tbh.

Iman rises and falls.

The Evans and Tzortzis clips are both from longer lectures on the subject.
