Certainly the promise of Allah is true. Let not then this present life deceive you.

"Allah is but one God. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs." [4:171]

I was wondering if Muslims believe that Adam and Eve were tempted to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The reason I ask is that in Christianity the lives of Jesus and Mary perfectly mirror those of Adam and Eve, particularly in terms of obedience to the Father, God. I know that Mohamed said that Christ was not crucified, which would break this parallel, in that Christ being crucified is the fruit being placed back on the tree (which is part of the reason why Christians eat the Eucharist, we are eating the Fruit of the new tree, the body and blood of Jesus Christ).

So then, if Muslims do not believe that the action which repaired the disobedience of Adam and Eve took place, I was wondering if they have a different understanding of the disobedience of Adam and Eve.

God Bless you.

To start off, we don't believe in "original sin", because we don't believe in inherited sin. God forgave Adam and Eve (Qur'an 7:19-23) and, thus, there is no need for a "new tree".

Personally, and some brothers may disagree, I think it's fine for you to worship and believe as you do. I see no harm in it at all and there is no reason we cannot coexist. Qur'an says that God made all of us and that God alone determines what people believe; and the Bible says that we are all one in Jesus, neither Jew nor Gentile, Slave nor Master. Just my thoughts on it.

it's ok to have wrong opinions.

Opinions, by nature, cannot be wrong. It's like saying one is wrong for liking chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla. Opinions can only be different, neither right nor wrong.
