The army in my country are run by the kuffar.

They prohibit us from keeping facial hair. But somehow the Sikhs are allowed to keep their beards and wear turbans? I baffled towards the Sikhs in the army as they will be instantly die in a headshot during a battle because they wore a turban over a helmet. And there is no time to pray!

Only three Muslims in my camp are practicing Islam. The rest are lost souls infected by westernization and liberalism. You know, those type of people; losing virginity before nikah, going to nightclubs, drinking and so on.

So anyway, in my country we have to serve two years. How do I cope with this, brothers and sisters?

If that is the law, then you have to do it. We are obligated to follow the laws of the country we live in. Serve your two years with honor and distinction.

I know, but whatever stuff going on these two years are conflicting my practice of Islam. Isn't shaving the beard haram? Most of time we don't have time to pray too.

There's been a SAF double standard for a while when it comes to Muslims v Sikhs, but there's very little that can be done about it. If the law says you serve, then you serve. Allah will understand.

There's no Muslims in the navy and airforce either. Only recently they have started taking Muslims in the armour division.

Also, am I sinful for neglecting compulsary practices, to avoid disciplinary punishment?

If you are not allowed to pray, do it in your head in secret, just think prayers in your head don't do it physically , like the Muslims in Andalusia when it was invaded by Christians and purged of muslims. And let those other non-practicing muslims do what they want, they will certainly come to pay the price for what they've been doing on the day of judgement.

Maybe warn them if you can. Prophet Muhammad (sws) said about the subject of seeing other people commiting evil:

"Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.” [Muslim]
