"Allah is but one God. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs." [4:171]

If hadiths are essential to Islam why weren't they divinely revealed , as supplements to the Quran.

Instead of it being a game of historical hearsay, "my scholars are better than yours, so and so had memory problems , such and such wasn't an eye witness…X was a forgery, Y was a typo,…" etc

Arguing hadiths is so inconvenient. People find a million ways to doubt your point…blah

And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community; but they will not cease to differ. 11:118

>Arguing hadiths is so inconvenient

So what?

Do you also find art, philosophy, literature, and language to be pointless endeavors? After all, the study of such things are subjective and "inconvenient".

Seeking exact science where there is none is to deny the human experience. There is always more to life.

Its a sort of uncertain relativity that is fine in the "arts" , apples vs oranges, bit annoying in the realm of religion. When a hearsay, relativistic document is supposed to elucidate divine scripture.

If you're looking for mathematical and scientific truth in religion, then you're not looking for religion.

I'm looking more for God than for a religion, I guess that's the trouble .

God won't provide you with the mathematical and scientific logic you need either. God wants faith. God also gave you religion, and perfected it with Islam. (Qur'an 5:3)

God gives inspired/revealed texts. So why do we need to filter those through second hand historical hearsay? Things that wouldn't even work in a court of law…let alone science/math.

7cf627 No.19542

That is the whole point of faith. We are not here to defend Allah nor prove Allah's worth. We are here to obey Allah, nothing more or less.

If you have a problem with that, take it up with Allah.

I can appreciate the idea if a prophet revealing a divine text. Putting faith in that because of its wisdom/miracles/etc…But reading a Holy texf through historical hearsay, (uninspired rumors/accoubts) seems to defeat the whole purpose of a divine text with a "seal of the prophet".

One is no longer asked to place his faith in Allah and a prophet but also some "community" of so-called scholars and various human narrators…so we would gamble our souls on anonymous men???

Drop the act. I know who you are.

7cf627 No.19547

Since Qur'an tells us to follow the Prophet, then Qur'an alone is not the whole of the religion.

What act?
