Hey all,

I am here to get the people on this board to demand a web application that generates good hypnosis based upon your personal preferences.

Essentially here's what it would look like:

>> I create a profile for myself, detailing my preferences in hypnosis.

>> The web application only displays hypnosis that fits my exact specifications and can change on the fly because all that is required to create hypnosis is a script.

Here’s my argument for why we should make this:

>> Hypnosis can change a person's mind.

That is fucking astonishing. As humans, we've spent most of our time building things outside of our heads so that we can distract ourselves from the pain we feel inside of our minds.

But: hypnosis can eliminate that pain because it targets the source of it: our ego, inner self, our identity.

However, this truth is hard to confront because currently Hypnosis is in the fucking shitter. Most of you know for a fact that hypnosis works. Let's be real here: hypnosis has a lot of you dressing up as a girl and sucking on dildos.

You think your dad got off like that?

NO! He couldn't get off on something like that because it took too much damn time to even gain an interest in hypnosis.

And that's the main reason hypnosis isn't popular now: time. It takes too much time and effort to find good hypnosis.

That can change in an instant; once some people have done the work to create the web application, we just have to do a couple things to make it happen.

I personally would love to hear Poppy's voice turned into a text to speech application, and I know Poppy's director Titanic Sinclair is interested in hypnosis and already puts hypnosis into his videos.

By categorizing the scripts, we could easily tailor fit the hypnosis audio that is generated on the fly by the text to speech application. For example: if you do not like Humiliation, you won't have to listen to any files ever that devalue you as a person. This would make all hypnosis safe, because it would only affect things you want to change.

I’m not sure how web audio works, I barely understand how VSTs work, but if someone could provide a good library of web based audio affects that could be used for creating standardized hypnotizing audio effects, that would be great.

I’m tired of writing, I hoped I inspired at least one other person to take action.

I really want to see this happen.

this is pretty unfeasible, and definitely not the first time someone's posted this idea.

think about motive, funding, the amount of time involved, business model, liability, etc.

it's a complete pipe dream. it would be entirely unviable and go to shit if it was free, and if people had to pay, it would largely end up unused and forgotten, since most hypno fans are very much against paying for it.

also, the sheer amount of careful design and AI needed to get a TTS system to consistently, automatically produce high quality properly-delivered speech is absolutely *insane*. not even amazon's alexa is all that great at it, and she cost them *millions* of dollars and is in perpetual development.

the hypno world has a million idea men making a million idea posts. don't make idea posts, go *do* something.

Hey. You are obviously knowledgable and want to share that knowledge with me. Otherwise you wouldn't have posted in this thread. I also know that you started to feel conflict within yourself while writing your post because at first you called the idea a "pipe dream" and then told me to "go *do* something", which is obviously encouraging me to take action.

Yes you dunce, I am an ideas man. But I am better at communicating than the people who have more practical skills than me. That is why I have posted this idea on this board.

Your post is myopic because although you admit that it is a possible idea, the only reason you say it won't work is because you say it can't be sold.

Maybe you were trying to motivate me. Just know that subtext doesn't work on people who are away of its ever-present power.

when i said to go do something, i meant to stop making idea posts and actually go create *something*. not necessarily this unviable idea. which is unviable for many more reasons than that it cannot be sold. idea-men are of very little value, if they cannot also create something. *prove* your ideas, build a prototype, build *something*. idea-men are an eye-rolling dime a dozen.

Okay, that is reasonable. I do not have the capabilities to do this currently, and I do not want to spend my time doing research and development. I just want to find one person who is capable and willing so that I can support that person with whatever I can give them via communication.

Coincidentally for you, I already did a bunch of research on this beat because I've been on a similar track. I figured out the best TTS voices that exist already, and looked into all the existing means of producing new voices.

The most viable means of producing custom voices seems to be using google's wavenet, which there are a couple open source implementations of on github, linked in the above resources page. Anyone can download it, anyone can run it (though I hope you have a strong cpu/gpu), and the training data is available. The only reason I'm not doing it myself is because I'm involved in real-world projects and don't have time to donate cpu cycles to the cause.

I think you're going way overboard suggesting a customized web platform for hypnosis, especially given you're not a web programmer and don't know how hard or pointless this actually is. It's way more sensible to start a scriptwriting revolution and get some people producing quality scripts first.

If you're good at communicating, then start writing scripts, and getting feedback on them. We need more scripts first before we start producing files. Don't put the cart before the horse.

Don't worry about fancy-ass custom web TTS platforms. Lets keep this simple and worry about producing individual files before producing a whole software platform. Once we have some scripts, we can start using the TTS stuff we have, or getting someone with a nice voice to record it, then use a DAW to amp up the production value and add subliminals.

This kind of idea would be a passion project. I don't think it would be impossible or unlikely, in fact it is almost certain this will be a real thing in the future when hypno isn't as taboo. But if it to be created within the next 20 years, it would have to be a passion project someone does in their spare time, and trust me, there are people out there who would love to help. If you want it to be a thing, make a group of people who would like to spend time to help and get started while you still want it to happen. If you do, then I wish good luck to you and your team (you'll need a team, you want to program an AI).

First off: hypnosis doesn't change anything that's not already there ready to change.

Second: if by "pain inside our minds" you mean emotional baggage or trauma, well congrats, you're Human, now go get some fucking therapy lest you fuck yourself up even more.

Third: text to speech really is shit, there is nothing - not even that new stuff from Google that is being talked about as the best voice synthesis product ever made - IT'S NOT HUMAN and it'll never work well enough to be useful. If you need something that fucking bad, BREAK OUT A MIC AND RECORD YOURSELF. If you can't trust or accept your own voice giving you suggestions, hypnosis is not for you.

Fourth: if you're tired of writing that rather poorly put together post which is barely 3-4 actual paragraphs then boy/girl/what-the-fuck-ever you think you are you're really not going to get anywhere in life.

Fifth: well, you fucking figure it out.
