>It's completely placebo
If you can prove that, please do. I'd rather not waste everyone's time and post readability if it really is pointless, but that's not what my testing has shown so far.
While cached threads from before the filter are still showing up on Yahoo, Bing, and DuckDuckGo, I can't find this thread on any of them unless I specifically search for the replacement text. StartPage and Yandex don't find the replacement text even when specifically searching for it, and nothing from 8ch shows up on Ask or Baidu at all. However, there must be no instances of the uncensored name within the thread for it to work. For example, the 1s4b3||4 V4|3nt1n3 thread with the censored OP still appears on Bing with an uncensored search, because there are uncensored instances within the thread.
Testing included every search engine with more than 0.05% of the market share, so unless my methods were flawed, it seems to be working universally. If you have evidence to the contrary, please share it. Also, please never hesitate to address concerns or grievances like this in the meta thread. You can't expect something to improve if it isn't addressed.

Google has us blacklisted anyway, so 80.6% of the problem is solved no matter what we do.
