Open world like TiTS, but set in normal ass suburbia. To start with, at least.

PC is a young schoolgirl or schoolboy, goes around town living their life. As they age into adulthood, the consequences of their actions play out and get REAL.

Various NPCs will try to rape them at some point. They can also seduce and corrupt anybody, including their own family. Pregnancies result in new fully-fleshed-out characters that live independent lives.

The darker the character gets, the weirder the world becomes. If they want a happy fantasy village, that's fine, but if they get nasty the game gets heavy. Mechanics are non-obvious. You get stats and an inventory, but there are special situation-dependent things.

Trick is, you never know the crazy dark shit is there unless you turn evil, and the consequences get back at you way down the line. It ramps up slowly. If you live a basically decent life it plays like a sexy rom com; if you live irresponsibly you get yourself into dangerous situations. If you live evil, you permanently fuck up all the people around you.

New families every time, with really surprising rare hidden traits for replay value.

No saves, death is real. Game has to last long enough you get really invested in your character. If you're nice dangerous situations get extremely rare, but if you let that kid in your homeroom blackmail you and tape it that could be a slippery slide towards being raped to death in a biker bar. And if you turn into a real monster, you just keep fighting and killing until something comes along that's big enough to take you down. Nice games end with dying old and happy surrounded by children when you hit retire, nasty games end with snuff scenes.

And there's a reeeeeally slow fade from one to the other, like imperceptible until you start accumulating bad decisions. They come back to bite you way later.

I personally want a game that simulates running a farm or pet breeding business, but with humans/demihumans being the subjects. Keep trying to make something like that in Twine, but never have the skills/patience to finish it.

The actual Kickstarter site has content bans, but there was an adult version of kickstarter, called Offbeatr. It closed down last year because nothing was really getting done. A significant part of the difference in quality and quantity of completed games in the East and West is purely because in the East they are treated as actual marketable games, and get put on the market after they are done, while in the West you get a pre-alpha experience but still pay the devs the whole cost. In the absence of great integrity, which is fucking rare, or legitimate autism, which tends not to use crowdfunding at all, projects just don't get finished. You can't really just shift the system either since the two systems are incompatible, Japan uses startup money and previous releases for funding while the West starts from scratch begging. It's a real problem.

Rance is a weird example for that seeing as it jumps between incredibly grimdark to gag show skit comedy to teenage anime tropes at will. Not only do you see it inbetween different games, as to be expected in a series over 20 years old, you can have it all in the same game, with very gruesome and dark (Medusa), to pure comedy (Maris tsukkomi) to endlessly recycled anime tropes (Arlcoate) all in Kichikuou. It works but Kichikuou is a fantastic game.

So, I've had this idea for a long time, As in, almost ten years, and I think it's about time I shared it (in the hope someone else likes it).

My dream HG is something of a simulator game, where you (the MC, male or female) runs a sort of "bio-weapon" lab. Think resident evil-type stuff, but much lewder. You begin the game making and researching various drugs that do things to people, like make them horny or angry or mindslaves or whatever. As you progress, however, you'd eventually start learning how to make monsters like tentacle beast, orcs and other things that you could then test out in a town you take control of.

You'd have base building aspects like placing new labs and test areas, or setting up fronts to stay under the radar. Setting up security, or even a private military force would help you acquire new specimens to work with and test subjects to try your stuff on.

I think the direction some people take with Artficial Academy, Custom Maid or Honey Select is alright - waifu maker with character personality, traits, kinks etc. It just needs much more gameplay. I'd like one of those games to be brought up from the level of fancy poser into one of actual game.

For example, Artificial Academy where there is a bit more than school to be in and characters can be interacted with, reasoned, pushed into certain directions and behaviors more easily, in many ways.

I'm this anon, I just remembered that HellMOO has a similar intro sequence. In HellMOO, you collect items for your apocalypse shelter, and they determine your stats and such. I'm proposing you convert some of that system into a light VN game, and then judging by the choices the user makes, give them a new form. You'd start out as either a preset or a randomly generated character. You could fine tune this random generation with parameters, like from "literally anything" to "loli, no oppai, mage", but the expectation is that you die often, so there shouldn't be too much specification so there can be variety. You can also alter the H content in the dungeon with parameters.

After that, the objective would vary depending on starting character (impregnate the demon queen, for instance), but largely revolve around getting to the bottom of the dungeon. The story would be something like "Fantasy Monstergirl world falls into complete lust with humans", with you/your people being the last remnants of humans either not captured or escapees.

The theme would be one of two themes, depending on your character.

The humans would have to resupply with local resources, then build either stealth or defense/offense weaponry and buildings.

MG's never technically die, they just either surrender themselves, warp home, or offer to be your lover/slave. Some MG's don't want conflict at all, and instead want to learn human ways (Wholesome headpats here)
