For me at school, it was that way. I have many memories of stuff I did outside of school, mostly with adults or on my own. At school things changed my sr year of hs with the quad and the clique. If C hadn't asked me out, I'm sure the rest of that sr year would have been just as lackluster as my sophomore and junior years. My freshman year at my previous hs, sucked. It culminated with me nearly getting killed when beat up and I never went back to that school again.

lol, my parents were never there. Dad at work, and had a long commute. Mom off at college getting her PhD. When I ran away to NYC, I got more "parental type care" from my bosses, and the other adults around me. I did see mom twice a week when she checked up on me. I rarely saw dad.

it sounds like you just don't care for alcohol personally... but sometimes it's a necessary break from your daily life or leads to a good time, which actually does help depression... and since it can be social, you can easily do shit like meet new people... having friends can also help with depression

Any infinite-scrolling site will do this, eventually. On Firefox, it requires a force-quit and restart (or waiting literaly minutes for it to resolve after EVERY button press). On Chrome, I swap to a new tab, press the "close tab" button, and wait for it to do its thing.
